We are now building a stronger Finance function to support the next phase of our growth - and this role is the operational anchor of that function.\n\nWhy This Role Is Different\n\nMost senior finance roles in Pune are narrow - you own AP, or you own payroll, or you own collections, or you own one slice of the books. This one is broad. You will own the transactional engine of the finance function - AP, AR, payroll across six countries, vendor management, reconciliations, and client invoicing - alongside the 13-week cash flow model that the Director of Finance and CEO rely on weekly. You will coordinate tax compliance across all six jurisdictions through our external advisors. You will execute intercompany settlements that keep the group moving. You will partner directly with the Director of Finance on the work that defines how this finance function performs.\n\nThe accuracy of our AP coding determines the integrity of our profitability views by service line and by location - which is how this business is run. Our collections discipline shapes our DSO and the working capital we have available to deploy. Our client invoicing shapes both how quickly clients pay us and the quality of the commercial relationship while doing so. Our cash flow model shapes the capital decisions we make every month. This is a role where process discipline meets commercial instinct meets analytical rigor - and where doing the job well requires all three.\n\nIt is also a role designed for someone who wants to grow. The current scope is broad; the path forward is unbounded by the role title.\n\nWhat You Will Own\n\nHands on ownership in accounts payable payable : End-to-end AP operations across every entity. Three-way matching mandatory. Maintain AP coding accuracy as the foundation of every downstream management report - by Line of Service, by Location, by account, and by project. \n\nHands on ownership in accounts receivable : Drive collections in line with contractual payment terms. Collections in a services business is a relationship discipline - partner with Client Services and the customer relationship leaders to keep cash flowing without damaging relationships. \n\nClient invoices and collections follow up : Produce all client-facing invoices. Every invoice is a client deliverable - accurate, complete, professionally presented, and accompanied by the supporting documentation clients need to process payment efficiently.\n\nTimesheet-based billing : Own the monthly control that ties paid timesheets to billed timesheets. Unreconciled hours are either revenue leakage or margin misstatement - neither is acceptable.\n\nMulti-country payrol : Execute payroll across India, Canada, the US, the UK, Portugal, and Romania. Statutory compliance in every jurisdiction. \n\nMulti-entity closings and reconciliations or Multi country finance operations\n\nCo ordination with auditors, tax consultants, or compliance advisors : Coordinate tax compliance across all six jurisdictions through our external advisors. Maintain the consolidated compliance calendar, ensure documentation flows on time, track filings, and surface issues to the Director of Finance.\n\nWhat We Are Looking For\n\nChartered Accountant, CA Inter, or Commerce graduate with 10 to 12 years of post-qualification experience \n\nPrior ownership of multi-country payroll in at least three jurisdictions \n\nEnd-to-end AP ownership with coding discipline in a multi-entity environment \n\nTrack record of identifying and implementing operational improvements in finance processes \n\nExperience producing or maintaining a rolling cash flow model \n\nComfort coordinating with external tax advisors across multiple jurisdictions \n\nExperience with ERP systems and reconciliation discipline \n\nStrong written and verbal communication - you will represent GlobalStep externally\n\nAlso Valuable\n\nExperience with client-facing invoicing in a professional services context \n\nExposure to Sage or ERP remediation projects \n\nDemonstrable use of AI tools in reconciliations, invoice processing, or exception analysis \n\nWho Will Thrive Here\n\nThis role is for an operator who combines accounting discipline with commercial instinct, and who is comfortable coordinating financial work across functions, entities, and jurisdictions:\n\nBalanced accounting discipline. You are genuinely strong across AP, AR, payroll, and reconciliations - not dominant in one and passing in the rest. \n\nCoordination and orchestration. You can manage external advisors across six jurisdictions, maintain a disciplined compliance calendar, and operate as the connective tissue between our internal data and external technical expertise. \n\nClient-facing savvy. You can write a client-facing email that collects a payment without damaging the relationship. You treat invoicing and collections as commercial conversations, not administrative tasks. \n\nCash flow discipline. You can maintain a 13-week cash flow model with documented assumptions, accurate inputs, and a discipline that lets the Director of Finance and the CEO act on the numbers with confidence. \n\nChange leadership. You have rebuilt a transactional process from the ground up before, and you know it is about people more than it is about systems. \n\nAI fluency. You use AI actively - for reconciliation exception analysis, for vendor correspondence, for process automation - and you treat it as a force multiplier. \n\nGrowth orientation. You want to expand your scope over time, not just execute today's. The finance function at GlobalStep is being built; the right candidate will grow with it. \n\nWhat We Offer\n\nScope: A senior role with substantial breadth - transactional operations, cash flow modelling, tax coordination, and intercompany execution.
