About the Role
At Globant, we are looking for a talented Data Scientist II to join our team and help design, develop, and implement advanced analytics and AI-driven solutions that address complex business challenges.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Generative AI, with strong programming and analytical skills. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform business requirements into scalable, data-driven solutions that deliver measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, engineers, and product teams to understand business needs and define analytical solutions.
Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights.
Design, develop, and evaluate Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Generative AI models, including Large Language Models (LLMs).
Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and evaluate model performance, accuracy, and reliability.
Develop and deploy scalable ML solutions through APIs and batch-processing pipelines.
Implement model testing, monitoring, and performance evaluation to ensure quality and reliability.
Optimize model performance, inference latency, and computational costs.
Document methodologies, communicate findings, and translate complex technical insights into business recommendations.
Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate AI and ML solutions into production environments.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of professional experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or advanced analytics.
Strong programming experience with Python and SQL.
Hands-on experience developing, training, and evaluating Machine Learning models.
Experience working with large and complex datasets.
Knowledge of statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and data mining techniques.
Understanding of Deep Learning, Generative AI, and LLM-based applications.
Experience with model evaluation, testing, and performance optimization.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
Nice to Have
Experience with PySpark, Databricks, Apache Airflow, or other big data frameworks.
Knowledge of MLOps practices and model deployment.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and scalable ML infrastructure.
Experience with RAG architectures, LLM evaluation, and hallucination mitigation.
Exposure to model optimization techniques such as quantization and parameter-efficient fine-tuning.
Experience working on client-facing AI projects across different industries.
