This role focuses on modern cloud-native architectures built with Spring Boot microservices, event-driven patterns, and AWS cloud services, ensuring robustness, scalability, and maintainability across enterprise-grade platforms.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong architectural vision with hands-on technical expertise and a deep understanding of distributed systems design, messaging patterns, and test-driven development practices.\nKey Responsibilities\nDefine and lead the overall solution architecture for microservices-based systems.\nDesign and implement event-driven architectures using messaging and streaming patterns.\nCollaborate with engineering teams to ensure alignment with architectural standards and best practices.\nDrive adoption of cloud-native design principles and scalable system patterns.\nProvide technical leadership in Spring Boot microservices development.\nDesign asynchronous communication flows using Kafka and AWS SQS.\nArchitect and optimize solutions in AWS cloud environments.\nEnsure system reliability, scalability, security, and performance across services.\nEstablish and enforce Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices and code quality standards.\nConduct architecture reviews, technical mentoring, and design guidance for development teams.\nWork closely with DevOps, QA, and Product teams to ensure end-to-end solution delivery.\nIdentify and mitigate technical risks in distributed system designs.\nTechnical Skills\nBackend & Architecture\nJava (8+ or later)\nSpring Boot (Microservices architecture)\nRESTful APIs & API design best practices\nDomain-driven design (DDD) concepts\nEvent-driven architecture\nMessaging & Event Streaming\nApache Kafka\nAWS SQS (Simple Queue Service)\nAsynchronous processing patterns\nEvent sourcing / pub-sub models (preferred)\nCloud (AWS)\nAWS EC2\nAWS S3\nAWS Lambda\nAWS API Gateway\nAWS Route 53 (DNS & routing services)\nCloud-native architecture design\nEngineering Practices\nTest-Driven Development (TDD)\nUnit, integration, and contract testing\nCI/CD pipelines (conceptual knowledge or hands-on)\nCode quality, scalability, and performance optimization\nAt Globant we believe that an inclusive culture and a diverse environment makes us stronger.
