By uniting people of passion who believe they can make a difference, we are confident that we can achieve this goal.\nJob Description\nThe Automation Test Engineer (Quality Engineer) plays a key role in ensuring end-to-end quality throughout the software development lifecycle by embedding shift-left testing principles and championing test automation and non-functional testing practices.This role is responsible for validating requirements early in the discovery phase, developing automation frameworks across UI, API, and mobile layers to support high automation coverage, and implementing effective test data and environment strategies.\nThe Automation Test Engineer (Quality Engineer) manages the defect lifecycle, performs root cause analysis, and delivers quality insights through key metrics such as Defect Leakage and MTTD/MTTR. The role also involves integrating performance and security testing into CI/CD pipelines, supporting QA efforts across project releases, and collaborating with teams to uphold Globe’s quality standards and continuous improvement culture.\nEmbed Shift-Left Testing Practices\nCollaborate early in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to ensure quality is built in from the start.\n\nValidate requirements during discovery and refinement sessions.\n\nTest Planning and Design\nDefine and document test scenarios and test cases aligned with business and technical requirements.\n\nDesign testing approaches that incorporate functional and non-functional testing needs.\n\nTest Automation\nDevelop and maintain automation scripts for UI, API, and mobile platforms.\n\nEnsure automation coverage targets are met (e.g., 80% minimum).\n\nUtilize reusable, maintainable, and scalable automation frameworks.\n\nTest Execution and Management\nExecute test cases (manual and automated) during various test phases (unit, integration, system, regression).\n\nManage test data creation and coordinate test environment readiness.\n\nMonitor and log test results and ensure traceability to requirements.\n\nDefect Management\nIdentify, log, track, and retest defects.\n\nLead root cause analysis and support teams in resolving issues.\n\nPrevent recurrence through continuous quality improvement initiatives.\n\nNon-Functional Testing\nIntegrate performance and security testing into the delivery pipeline.\n\nLeverage tools for load, stress, and vulnerability testing.\n\nCI/CD Integration\nContribute to the implementation of automated tests in CI/CD pipelines.\n\nEnsure quality gates are enforced for stable and reliable deployments.\n\nReporting and Metrics\nTrack and report key quality metrics (e.g., Defect Leakage, Mean Time to Detect [MTTD], Mean Time to Repair [MTTR]).\n\nProvide test progress updates and quality insights to stakeholders.\n\nCollaboration and Communication\nWork closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders.\n\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.\n\nContinuous Improvement\nIdentify opportunities to optimize testing processes and tools.\n\nAdopt best practices in quality engineering and stay current with emerging trends.\n\nCompliance and Governance\nFollow Globe’s quality and security standards.\n\nSupport test audit readiness and documentation compliance when necessary.\n\nTOP 3-5 DELIVERABLES:\nAutomated Test Scripts: Develop and maintain automation scripts for UI, API, and mobile testing to ensure at least 80% test coverage.\n\nTest Strategy and Documentation: Create detailed test plans, scenarios, and cases aligned with business and technical requirements.\n\nDefect Reports and Root Cause Analysis: Document, track, and analyze defects, providing insights to prevent future issues.\n\nQuality Metrics Dashboards: Generate and present key quality metrics (e.g., Defect Leakage, MTTD, MTTR) to stakeholders for informed decision-making.\n\nCI/CD Test Integration: Integrate automated tests and non-functional checks (performance, security) into CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless and reliable releases.\n\nHIRING REQUIREMENTS:\n1-5 years of Test Automation QA/QE experience with a track record of leading multiple QA projects and teams\n\nStrong grasp of QA methodologies, SDLC, DevOps, and test strategy development\n\nExperienced in stakeholder communication and vendor/partner quality management\n\nAutomation expertise: Playwright, Appium, Selenium, Cucumber, RobotFramework\n\nCI/CD tools: GitLab, Jenkins, CircleCI\n\nPerformance & security testing: JMeter, K6, OWASP ZAP, Fortify, SonarQube\n\nCloud experience: AWS, GCP, Azure\n\nSkilled in quality analytics, defect trends, RCA, and dashboard reporting\n\nProficient in Java, Python, or JavaScript for scripting and test development\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nGlobe’s hiring process promotes equal opportunity to applicants, Any form of discrimination is not tolerated throughout the entire employee lifecycle, including the hiring process such as in posting vacancies, selecting, and interviewing applicants.\nGlobe’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Policy Commitment can be accessed here\nMake Your Passion Part of Your Profession.
