The role exists to assist in maintaining the critical infrastructure necessary for uninterrupted data center services. Operating within predefined safety and operational protocols, the Cadet Engineer is tasked with routine checks and troubleshooting to achieve permanent objectives of system stability and efficiency.Professional Background and Experience\nMinimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Science).\nAt least one year of experience in a technical support role within a data center or IT infrastructure environment. Experience in handling data center equipment such as PDUs, UPSs, and HVAC systems is highly advantageous.\nProfessional Qualifications & Training\nCertifications in data center management, such as Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP) or similar, are highly preferred. Training in emergency response and safety protocols specific to data centers would also be beneficial.\nKnowledge and Skills\n\nTechnical Skills\nFundamental knowledge of data center components, including servers, storage systems, network infrastructure, power distribution units (PDUs), uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs), and cooling systems.\nSpeci fic Knowledge and Skills: Candidates must possess in-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure elements, such as power distribution, cooling systems, and general IT equipment maintenance. Understanding of compliance and safety standards applicable to data centers is crucial.\nEssential Capabilities: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently, knowledge of preventive maintenance routines, and familiarity with operational compliance requirements are essential. Skills in using management software for monitoring and reporting are also necessary.\nCompetencies\nTechnical Skills: Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance on data center equipment.
