By uniting people of passion who believe they can make a difference, we are confident that we can achieve this goal.\nJob Description\nThe Solutions Engineer acts as the primary client-facing point of contact, providing high-level strategic leadership in the design and execution of complex technical solutions. This role manages large-scale customer project requests (CPRs) and provides expert technical oversight for provisioning and CAPEX projects with minimal supervision. They are responsible for ensuring that sophisticated data center solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with safety and operational standards, maintaining zero impact on live operationswhile driving excellence across the engineering team.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Solution Design & Proposal Management\nThe scope of technical solutions is divided into the following categories:\n\nInfrastructure Build & Cabling: Installation of 47RU server racks, assembly of\n\nHot and Cold Aisle Containment systems (polycarbonate infills, sliding doors),\n\nand implementation of comprehensive structured cabling solutions, including fiber\n\nrunners, cable trays, and pathway management.\n\nPower Systems: Management of busway infrastructure, deployment of 3PH Tap\n\nOff Units (TOUs), installation of PDUs/rPDUs, and execution of rack grounding\n\nsystems.\n\nIntegration & Systems: Modification and relocation of environmental sensors,\n\nlighting, and BMS integration.\n\nMechanical Solutions: Design and implementation of cooling systems, piping\n\ninfrastructure, and execution or review of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)\n\nanalysis for data halls.\n\nTesting & Commissioning: Heat Load Testing in accordance to the customer\n\nfit-out deployment which includes load bank rentals\n\nCPR Delivery: Generate Customer Project Requests (CPRs) within the agreed SLAs:\nStandard Enterprise: 3 business days.\n\nCustom Enterprise: 10 business days.\n\nWholesale/Hyperscale: 20 business days.\n\nAI Development: For baselining.\n\nCustomer RFI and Data/Drawing Provision: Manage RFI support by collaborating with the Sales Team, DCSO, DCES, and the Design & Construction Teams to complete customer data forms and provide relevant documents based on the selected Data Hall and Data Center Campus. This includes rigorously filtering out sensitive data (such as CAD files and design calculations). Obtain approval from top management before releasing sensitive documentation, particularly when explicitly requested by the client.\nTechnical Accuracy: Ensure all designs and solutions are technically sound, identifying\nrisks before implementation to prevent delays or service interruptions.\nHandover Management: Establish and maintain a seamless handover process from the Solutioning team to the Provisioning team for all signed customer orders.\nAudit Compliance: Ensures that each Solutioning project request adheres to the\napproved DCSP Playbook process.\n2. Proposal Management\nCoordination & Costing: Generate and manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) for all\nCPRs by liaising with vendors to secure accurate lead times and costing, ensuring the final proposal is technically accurate and delivered on time.\nAccuracy & Optimization: Ensure quantities and rates are accurate, minimize\nproposals, and perform quantity surveying.\n3. Vendor Management\nVendor Collaboration: Liaise with vendors on customer requirements.\nProposal Repository: Establish a vendor proposal repository for future reference.\n4. Customer-Facing Responsibilities\nClient Engagement & Representation: Act as a customer-facing representative,\naccompany customers during site visits, and present STT GDC's Data Center sites and Data Hall offerings.\nPreferred Qualifications & Skillset\nExperience & Expertise: 4-6+ years of specialized experience in pre-sales engineering\nor design/solutioning of electrical or mechanical systems. Background in mechanical or electrical engineering required. Extensive data center experience preferred, with a proven track record of executing complex projects independently.\nLeadership & Client Engagement: Advanced client-facing abilities with the capacity to act as the lead technical representative. Strong leadership skills to mentor junior engineers and liaise strategically with internal stakeholders and vendors to drive high-impact proposals.\nTechnical Acumen: Strong foundational understanding of data center infrastructure, solution design principles, and comprehensive risk identification.
