We are constantly in pursuit of better patient care and understand that speed is critical because life cannot wait.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Assembler is responsible for visually inspecting and assembling small machined components. The use of various tooling is required to remove loose or fixed burrs, cleaning of sharp edges, and polishing and blending machined surfaces of the medical device(s). The job requires the individual to be a team player with the ability to function well in a challenging and fast paced environment.\nThe use of various tooling is required to remove loose or fixed burrs, cleaning of sharp edges, and polishing and blending machined surfaces of the medical device(s).\nAssembler I: entry level role, deburring of components, such as but not limited to screws and screw components, tulips, and Peek Spacers.\nAssembler II: All of level 1 plus added complexity in tasks, such as but not limited to the assembly of Revere, Revolve, Creo, Ellipse, Quartex, Protex, and Uniplanner screws, as well as Troch Nails\nAssembler III: All of levels 1 and 2, as well as Coalition MIS and AGX, Independence, Hedron, Corbel and Sustain product lines. Truss Plates and Providence plates are included as well. Must also be able to pin parts, and set-up and operate the staking press.\nAssembler IV: All of levels 1 - 3 and proficient at assembling Magnify, Altera, Sable, Fortify, Aerial, Monument, Renegade, Trans M, Rise, and Elsa product lines.\nEssential Functions:\nVisually inspects of machined components using stereo-microscope\n\nMeasures and inspects medical device products in accordance with manufacturing specifications\n\nAssembles sub-components into finished assemblies following established procedures\n\nUtilizes hand tools including but not limited to deburring knives, files, and pneumatic tools to remove burrs and assemble parts\n\nVisually inspects utilizing illumination devices & microscope to view internal areas of components to ensure they are adequately deburred\n\nEscalates problems/issues to the Assembly Supervisor\n\nAccurately completes all quality documentation and inspection sheets\n\nEmbraces 5S, Lean Management, GMP’s and company directives each day\n\nFollows all verbal and/or written instructions such as blueprints, traveler, work instruction, process specifications, sketches, and direction from supervisor in completing a variety of assembly and inspection tasks\n\nAdheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies\n\nEnsures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role\n\nRepresents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties\n\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.\nQualifications:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent\n\nAbility to use a variety of tools and equipment (torque wrenches, hand tools, power supplies, meters, fixtures, and tooling)\n\nFamiliarity with GMP environment; reading & checking Bills of Materials, schematics, and machine/assembly drawings\n\nAbility to work under minimum supervision with a high degree of organizational and technical competence\n\nAbility to function well under pressure and expend effort to meet schedules and deadlines\n\nExperience working for a medical device manufacturer preferred\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\n\nAttention to detail\n\nSelf-starter\n\nAdvanced critical thinking and problems-solving skills\n\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands listed here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nRequired to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.\n\nRequired to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.\n\nRequired to possess specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and capacity to adjust focus.\n\nOur Values:\nOur Life Moves Us philosophy is built on four values: Passionate About Innovation, Customer Focused, Teamwork, and Driven.\nPassionate about Innovation: Improving patient care by delivering advanced technology to our customers is at the core of what we do.
