Our solutions improve the techniques and outcomes of surgery so patients can resume their lives as quickly as possible.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Electrical Engineer will contribute to the development of robotic surgical systems, supporting electrical design from concept through commercialization. This role focuses on new product development (NPD) and includes hands-on design, prototyping, integration, and testing of complex electromechanical systems.\nThe engineer will work cross-functionally with mechanical, software, and systems teams to deliver robust, reliable, and scalable electrical architectures aligned with clinical and user needs.\nEssential Functions:\nDesign and develop electrical systems and PCBAs for robotic platforms containing analog, digital, and microcontroller circuitry\nDrive prototyping, bring-up, testing, and debugging of electrical subsystems\nInterface with PCB designers to complete circuit board layouts and documentation packages\nCollaborate on system integration and troubleshoot issues across hardware and software\nDevelop test fixtures and support V&V testing to ensure performance meets system requirements\nApply design for manufacturability (DFM) and support transition to production\nContribute to design documentation and DHF deliverables\nAdheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies\nEnsures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role\nRepresents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties \nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with 2-5 years of product development experience, preferably in robotics or complex systems\nGeneral experience with PCB development including schematic, layout, building, debugging and component selection\nProficient with electrical test equipment; oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc\nFamiliar with design for test, analyzing information, and reporting results\nExperience with schematic capture software (Altium preferred)\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands listed here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nRequired to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl\nRequired to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds\nRequired to possess specific visons abilities, including: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and capacity to adjust focus\nOur Values:\nOur Life Moves Us philosophy is built on four values: Passionate About Innovation, Customer Focused, Teamwork, and Driven.\nPassionate about Innovation: Improving patient care by delivering advanced technology to our customers is at the core of what we do.
