This role spans modern web applications built with TypeScript and Svelte, as well as high-performance C++ backend services, rendering systems, and algorithm integration. The platform includes web-based user interfaces, Qt-based desktop applications, and service-oriented components communicating through technologies such as gRPC and Protocol Buffers.\nThis individual will serve as a technical contributor, driving architecture, design decisions, and implementation across the full technology stack. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with expertise in modern frontend development, backend systems, UI/UX design, and scalable application architecture. Experience working with 3D visualization, rendering pipelines, and regulated software environments is highly desirable\nThe position is hands-on and requires the ability to independently lead complex initiatives while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams including algorithm, systems, quality, and product development teams.\nEssential Functions:\nDesign, develop, and maintain full-stack software solutions from concept through production deployment.\nDevelop prototypes, proofs of concept, and production-quality applications.\nLead architectural design and technical implementation across frontend and backend systems. \nBuild modern web applications using component-based architectures and responsive design principles. \nDevelop reusable UI components and design systems that promote consistency and maintainability. \nBuild performant, scalable backend services and application infrastructure using modern C++. \nIntegrate algorithms into production software in collaboration with dedicated algorithm teams.\nDevelop and maintain rendering and visualization capabilities, including 3D graphics subsystems where applicable.\nCollaborate on API design, service contracts, and data flow between frontend and backend systems.\nContribute to existing Qt Widgets-based applications and support migration efforts to modern web technologies.\nEnsure application performance, scalability, maintainability, security, and reliability.\nDemonstrate a passion for software craftsmanship, test-driven development, and engineering best practices.\nParticipate in design reviews, code reviews, testing, and technical documentation activities.\nDevelop tools and utilities to support product development, manufacturing, service, and operational needs. \nSupport manufacturing, internal testing, and external customers by investigating product issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.\nWork effectively within an FDA design control environment and regulated product development lifecycle.\nAdheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies\nEnsures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role\nRepresents the company in a professional manner and upholds the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties\n\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.\n5+ years of professional software development experience, including both frontend and backend technologies.\nExpert proficiency in modern C++ (C++17 or later).\nStrong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.\nExperience with modern frontend frameworks such as Svelte, React, Vue, or similar.\nExperience developing desktop applications using Qt\nStrong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable application development.\nExperience building service-based systems and APIs utilizing gRPC and/or Protocol Buffers.\nExperience implementing reactive programming and state management patterns.\nExperience developing reusable software components, libraries, and frameworks.\nStrong understanding of source control and Agile development tools including Git, Jira, and Confluence.\nExperience leveraging AI-assisted development tools while maintaining engineering rigor and software quality standards.\nAbility to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nDemonstrated ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives within small, high-performing teams.\nAbility to travel up to 10% of the time.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with rendering technologies, visualization systems, and 3D graphics pipelines.\nStrong understanding of linear algebra and 3D math concepts.\nExperience with algorithm development, image processing, or algorithm integration.\nExperience with build systems and toolchains, including CMake. \nExperience optimizing web application performance and responsiveness. \nExperience scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.\nExperience in robotics, medical devices, imaging systems, or other regulated software environments.\nExperience leading architecture reviews, technical roadmaps, and engineering best practices.\nOur Values:\nOur Life Moves Us philosophy is built on four values: Passionate About Innovation, Customer Focused, Teamwork, and Driven.\nPassionate about Innovation: Improving patient care by delivering advanced technology to our customers is at the core of what we do.
