Our solutions improve the techniques and outcomes of surgery so patients can resume their lives as quickly as possible.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Lead of Planning Master Data is responsible for designing, governing, auditing, and continuously improving the planning master data framework that drives demand planning, supply planning, procurement, manufacturing, and inventory performance. The role requires deep understanding of how part-level data (lead times, safety stock, lot sizing, BOM structures, sourcing rules, planning strategies, capacity parameters) translates directly into service levels, working capital, and margin performance. This role works with Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, IT, Finance, and Quality to ensure system accuracy, scalability, and compliance within a regulated environment.\nEssential Functions:\nGlobal Planning Master Data Governance\nEstablish and enforce global governance standards for planning master data across all plants and regions.\nOwn configuration and validation of:Lead times (procurement & manufacturing)\nSafety stock methodologies\nLot sizing parameters\nReorder points and planning strategies\nBOM integrity and revision controls\nSourcing rules and supply assignments\nCapacity and work center parameters\n\nDevelop scalable frameworks to support new product introductions (NPI), acquisitions, and double-digit growth.\nERP/MRP System Integrity & Optimization\nServe as the subject matter expert (SME) for MRP logic and system behavior.\nDiagnose root causes of MRP output anomalies (excess, shortages, nervousness, reschedule messages).\nPartner with IT and Planning to implement ERP enhancements, upgrades, and automation initiatives.\nLead master data cleansing, harmonization, and standardization initiatives across legacy and acquired systems.\nBuild automated audit controls and exception reporting to proactively identify system breakdowns.\nPlanning Performance Enablement\nTranslate business strategy into system parameter design that improves:Forecast accuracy\nInventory turns\nService levels\nBackorder reduction\n\nPartner with Demand & Supply Planning teams to continuously refine safety stock and replenishment logic.\nSupport IBP by ensuring data inputs are structurally sound and financially aligned.\nNew Product Introduction & Lifecycle Management\nEstablish structured master data setup processes for NPI launches.\nEnsure planning parameters are correctly configured prior to product release.\nManage phase-in/phase-out transitions with minimal supply disruption.\nPartner with R&D and Operations to align system configuration with manufacturing capability.\nAnalytics & Continuous Improvement\nDevelop advanced analytics and Power BI dashboards to monitor:Data accuracy\nParameter drift\nPlanning health metrics\nInventory risk indicators\nLead root-cause investigations of systemic planning performance issues.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives that eliminate structural inefficiencies within ERP\n\nOrganizational Requirements\nAdheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.\nEnsures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role\nRepresents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.\nQualifications:\n8-12+ years of experience in supply chain planning, master data governance, or ERP/MRP systems within a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device strongly preferred)\nDeep technical knowledge of:MRP logic and system behavior\nPlanning parameter design\nBOM structures and revision control\nCapacity modeling\nInventory optimization methodologies\n\nHands-on ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) in a multi-site environment\nAdvanced Excel and data analytics skills; Power BI experience strongly preferred\nExperience with database management, SQL, or data extraction tools preferred\nStrong understanding of FDA/ISO-regulated environments and change control processes\nAPICS (CPIM/CSCP) certification strongly preferred\nLean/Six Sigma experience preferred\nSystems thinker with exceptional analytical depth\nHighly detail-oriented with strong process discipline\nComfortable challenging assumptions using data\nAble to operate independently as a technical authority\nStrong cross-functional communicator\nThrives in high-accountability, high-growth environments\nAbility to travel 25% of the time \nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nThe employee is occasionally required to sit;
