Our solutions improve the techniques and outcomes of surgery so patients can resume their lives as quickly as possible.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Process Development Engineer will focus on optimizing distribution center operations through labor standard improvements, workflow and layout design, time studies, ergonomic assessments, and productivity analysis. The position supports cost-reduction initiatives, quality improvements, and root-cause analysis while maintaining accurate BOMs, routings, capacity models, and manpower planning. It requires strong cross-functional collaboration to design flexible manufacturing cells, develop data-driven solutions, and ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.\nEssential Functions:\nMaintains and improves labor standards, floor & workflow layouts, bill of materials (BOM), and routings for all products\nPerforms time studies, ergonomic/safety assessments, process flow analysis, line balancing, and productivity evaluations for all distribution areas and implement identified improvements\nPerforms financial analysis for product cost reduction projects, and quality initiatives, and provide recommendations\nFormulates and optimizes distribution center layout for optimal workflow\nMaintains capacity and manpower models and initiates corrective actions and/or improvements as required\nCoordinates with process owners, shop floor shareowners and engineers to develop flexible manufacturing cell designs\nDevelops solutions to a variety of routine problems using computer and logic-based methods\nSupports root cause analysis activities\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nAdheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies\nEnsures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role\nRepresents the company in a professional manner and upholds the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience; engineering major preferred\nWorking knowledge of GD&T, SPC, Validation, PFMEA\nFrequent (verbal and written) communications; able to present to peers and management on deliverables status\nMust be versed in capacity modeling, time-studies, balance tables, and flexible work-cell development\nMust be skilled in Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD, and ERP Systems\nUtilization of Six Sigma tools and understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts\nLean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification preferred\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands listed here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nRequired to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl\nRequired to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds\nRequired to possess specific visons abilities, including: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and capacity to adjust focus\nOur Values:\nOur Life Moves Us philosophy is built on four values: Passionate About Innovation, Customer Focused, Teamwork, and Driven.\nPassionate about Innovation: Improving patient care by delivering advanced technology to our customers is at the core of what we do.
