We do all this by releasing companies from the burden of cash management, putting cash to work, and helping customers enhance the value that their staff and facilities add to their business.\n\nROLE PURPOSE\nTo provide financial and commercial support to the local management teams, to facilitate the achievement of business goals within budgeted resource levels and to enhance local decision-making processes through the proactive provision of financial analysis and interpretation whilst also supporting the Orders to Cash function.\nThere has been a period of change following the recent implementation of a new ERP, and this role will put in people and processes that align with global ways of working, statutory requirements and local commercial decision-making.\nKey Responsibilities\n MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES\nResponsible for the full spectrum of day-to-day accounting activities (AP, AR, GL, Inventory and Fixed assets)\nManage the orders to cash function by working with the Senior Accountant, to provide strategic direction, manage customer credit limits, and ensure that the sales contract database is kept up to date and product & service invoicing is done in a timely manner\nAnalyse excess and obsolete/ageing inventory and take appropriate action for optimizing inventory.\nEnsure all statutory accounting and taxation are up to date, including all balance sheets clearly reconciled every month and any differences resolved.\nLead month end; Review and approve monthly journal entries, review account reconciliations, prepare and review monthly reporting packs, KPIs, cashflow and ad-hoc financial information\nEnsure compliance with internal control systems and statutory financial regulations.\nPartner with the operations team to close out any outstanding internal audit actions.\nChampion the ERP system, to ensure it is utilised to its full potential, in order to continually improve processes and efficiency with the Finance function and the wider business.\nMonitor revenue and overheads and, where appropriate, propose corrective action in relation to deviations against budget.\nAssist in the preparation of the annual budget, and monthly and quarterly financial forecasts, helping to drive forecast accuracy.\nDevelop team to maintain high levels of morale, motivation and productivity as a customer service mindset is at the forefront. \nUnderstand and support the overall business strategic initiatives.\nFinance lead on key projects and change management initiatives\nSkills, Knowledge & Expertise\n Education and Qualifications\nWith at least 3-5 years in similar capacity and experience. \nBachelor’s Degree, CPA or ACCA in Accounting.\nFull-set month end closing experience under very tight deadlines\nAble to demonstrate strong compliance and sound knowledge of Malaysia’s statutory reporting requirement (audit, tax and sales tax).\nAble to demonstrate knowledge of accounting principles, particularly around revenue recognition and lease accounting\nAble to understand existing process and implement process change for better internal controls and efficiency.\nProven track record in accounts receivables and cash flows management\nProven track record in inventory management (stock take, inventory controls, inventory costing)\nBudgeting and forecasting experience will be advantageous\nPrio audit experience with Tier 1/2 audit firms will be advantageous\nExperience of team development and change management.\nHigh level of computer literacy;
