You will work collaboratively with management to gain understanding of business processes, risks, and related controls. You will leverage technology and data to develop and execute test procedures to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management and controls for mitigating those risks.\nHow will you drive value within the organization as an Audit Specialist?\nAssists with the maintenance of a comprehensive GLS Audit Universe and Risk Assessment\nAssist with the development and completion of the Audit Plan\nWork collaboratively with management to identify risks and concerns within each area to develop audit procedures and testing that are aligned with those risks and concerns \nExecute testing procedures to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls\nReport audit results and recommendations to management over the course of the audit and during exit meetings\nPrepare and issue formal Audit Reports to communicate results to management and the Enterprise Risk Committee\nTrack and report audit issue remediation and validate completed items\nMake value-added recommendations to improve controls, mitigate risk, and improve business results\nMaintain electronic records and files that support work performed, results, and conclusions\nLook for opportunities to improve Internal Audit related processes and gain efficiencies \nWhat should you already know to be successful as an Audit Specialist?\nMinimum of bachelor’s degree required\nIntrinsically motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative, identify needs, make recommendations for improvement, see recommendations through implementation, and evaluate improvements for effectiveness \nStrong interpersonal skills\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nTeam player that can adapt in a fast pace and changing environment \nProficient computer skills with working knowledge of internet and standard business applications; ability to quickly learn new computer applications as required \nCommitment to exemplifying the organizational core values and key competencies\nExcellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and demonstrated ability to effectively set and manage multiple conflicting priorities\nEmployment Requirements:\nThis is an exempt level position whereby business need will dictate the exact work schedule which should be expected to vary at times.
