Customer Solutions Engineer

We are looking for a Customer Solutions Engineer to provide hands-on technical support to customers integrating with and operating on the GLS/NXT Out-of-Home platform.

You will be a key technical point of contact throughout the customer lifecycle - from supporting onboarding and validating integrations to investigating and resolving issues during ongoing operations. You will also support Expansion Managers with technical knowledge, customer investigations, and clear guidance on platform behavior.

Working at the intersection of engineering and customer support, you will test and troubleshoot APIs and event-based workflows, trace activity across backend services, and use logs and other system data to identify root causes. You will translate your findings into practical next steps and clear answers for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This role is a great fit for someone with a quality assurance or similar technical background who is naturally curious, enjoys understanding how connected systems work, and takes ownership of solving complex customer problems.

Tasks

• Support customer onboarding and testing end-to-end: Prepare test environments, access details, realistic scenarios, and demonstrations so customers can validate their setup confidently before launch.
• Support internal teams and customer relationships: Provide technical guidance to Expansion Managers, explain platform behavior and limitations, and escalate external issues with clear supporting evidence.
• Investigate and resolve technical customer issues: Reproduce reported problems, analyze available system information, identify root causes, coordinate fixes, and communicate outcomes clearly.
• Test and improve customer scenarios: Reproduce real-world and unusual situations, verify solutions, and add new test cases to improve future customer onboarding and support.
• Improve platform reliability and support processes: Monitor changes to external services, identify recurring issues across customers, and document findings to prevent disruptions and speed up resolution.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in quality assurance, technical implementation, integrations, technical support, or a similar B2B role.
• Strong communication skills and business-level English, with the ability to explain technical findings and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Practical experience testing and troubleshooting APIs, backend services, and event-based workflows.
• Experience using Datadog or similar observability tools to search logs, trace events, and investigate root causes.
• A curious and structured problem-solving mindset, with the ability to reproduce issues, analyze evidence, and manage multiple priorities.
• Permission to work in Germany and willingness to travel within the EU up to 10% of the time.
