We are part of the Software Foundations & Architecture organization, and our core mission is to build the Middleware, Testing, Simulation, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) infrastructure for Glydways. We don't just write test scripts; we build the overarching frameworks that allow those tests to run seamlessly across software, simulation, and physical hardware. We ensure that the software powering our autonomous transit systems is safe, performant, and reliable before a vehicle ever hits the track.\nRoles & Responsibilities:\nAs part of this role you’ll be responsible for:\nDesign and architect unified testing frameworks that enable seamless portability of test cases across Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), and simulation environments.\nBuild, configure, and maintain physical HIL benches and associated hardware interfaces (e.g., CAN adapters) to simulate real-world vehicle environments.\nIntegrate automated HIL testing directly into the Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines, ensuring code stability and preventing regressions prior to merging.\nCollaborate closely with software engineering teams to understand their needs, identify and implement improvements in our Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Infrastructure and Continuous Integration (CI) systems.\nMonitor and report on runtime performance, system health, and reliability metrics across all HIL testing platforms.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nProfessional C++ experience building and maintaining libraries and test frameworks - not just modifying existing code. Our framework is C++ end to end: test fixtures, simulators, monitors, and every test case. This includes fluency with GoogleTest or an equivalent (fixtures, parameterized tests) and diagnosing flaky, timing-sensitive failures. You will write C++ on day one.\nDeep understanding of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), and simulation testing strategies, particularly for safety-critical systems.\nPython and Bash for CI tooling, bench automation, and scripting is a plus.\nStrong knowledge of CI/CD best practices and principles.
