The role applies cybersecurity knowledge, critical thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to evaluate identified challenges, develop practical solutions, and produce high-quality deliverables that support successful implementation and organizational objectives.\nIn this role you will:\nExecute assigned activities and deliverables in accordance with established objectives, priorities, and timelines.\n\nCollaborate across the Cybersecurity organization to understand identified challenges, evaluate improvement opportunities, and advance assigned initiatives.\n\nEvaluate existing processes, controls, and practices to develop practical options and recommendations for remediation or improvement.\n\nResearch cybersecurity topics, industry practices, and potential solutions to inform recommendations and implementation approaches.\n\nDevelop clear and concise analyses, recommendations, documentation, presentations, and other governance deliverables.\n\nIdentify and communicate dependencies, obstacles, and decisions needed to support successful execution.\n\nSupport the implementation of approved process improvements and remediation activities that strengthen cybersecurity governance, operational effectiveness, and risk management.\n\n What makes you an ideal candidate?\nKnowledge of cybersecurity principles, governance, risk management, security controls, and operational security practices.\n\nHigh-level understanding of technology infrastructure, security conceptsand platforms.\n\nFamiliarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST and ISO 27001.\n\nStrong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex challenges, consider multiple perspectives, and develop practical solutions.\n\nDemonstrated success in project management or structured initiative execution, including managing priorities, dependencies, deliverables, and timelines.\n\nAbility to approach challenges with an open mind and identify innovative solutions, methods, and opportunities for improvement.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate cybersecurity topics to technical and non-technical audiences.\n\nStrong collaboration and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build on the ideas of others, navigate obstacles constructively, and work across teams to achieve results.\n\nStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to work effectively with changing priorities.\n\nExperience and Education\nMinimum of 1-5 years of experience in large and complex business environment with a successful track record working directly with senior level management preferred\n\nAt least 1 year of experience in one or more of the following domains: Access Control, Telecom and Network Security, Cybersecurity Governance, Risk Management, Software Development Security, Cryptography, Security Architecture and Design, Operational Security, Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery, Legal Regulations, Investigations and Compliance, Physical (Environmental) Security, IT or Security Audit, IT or Security Compliance preferred\n\nExperience with UML Design Tools preferred\n\nExperience with alternate management methods using SSH, serial connections, and the command-line interface TMSH preferred\n\nExperience in documentation tools such as Visio and Microsoft Office products preferred\n\nExperience with Network and VLAN segmentation preferred\n\nExperience with technical writing preferred\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required\n\nBachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience strongly preferred\n\nWhat We Offer: Generous benefits package available on day one to include: 401K matching, bonding leave for new parents (12 weeks, 100% paid), tuition assistance, training, GM employee auto discount, community service payand nine company holidays.\nOur Culture: Our team members define and shape our culture - an environment that welcomes innovative ideas, fosters integrity, and creates a sense of community and belonging.
