Then we are looking for you!\n About the Role\nThe Credit Analyst Intern supports the Commercial Lending organization by assisting with credit analysis, risk assessment, and portfolio performance reporting. This role works closely with dealers, customers, and internal teams to evaluate credit opportunities, ensure accurate documentation, maintain service levels, and support sound lending decisions. The intern gains hands-on experience in commercial credit underwriting, dealer relationship management, and automotive finance operations while contributing to business growth, credit quality, and operational efficiency.\nIn this role you will:\nAssist with developing and maintaining appropriate analysis for the Commercial Lending organization as it relates to volume, efficiencies, performance, and individual performance \nAnalyze credit data to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit \nLearn how to make decisions to approve or deny the extension of credit within set credit authority established by senior management and State/Federal laws\nDevelop sufficient dealer relationships that ensure volume objectives and credit quality \nGain knowledge in how GMF captures automotive finance contracts that meet GM Financial profitability criteria for pricing and performance \nEnsure compliance with applicable policies and procedures \nEnsure branch office cooperation with other departments to maximize efficiency within the company \nEnsure all queues are worked to acceptable service levels \nConduct joint dealer calls with Dealer Account Representative (DAR) on an as needed basis \nPerform outbound telemarketing calls to the dealer customer \nEnsure proper documentation is received on all deals \n What makes You an ideal candidate?\nStrong written and verbal communication skills required.
