This role provides you the opportunity to hit the road with the best of your abilities and turn the corner of your new career\nIn this role you will:\nDeveloping product features for any or all of the following: data marketplaces, mobile applications, web applications, API services, and Generative AI (GenAI) applications.\nThe SDE II works under limited or no supervisory guidance and consistently delivers on commitments.\nThe SDE II is expected to demonstrate excellence in the software development practices performed by Scrum teams.\nMigrating the product to the public cloud within the team as appropriate.\nThe SDE II invests in learning and experimentation to expedite cloud implementations.\nUsing automated pipelines for building, testing, and deploying software packages, while continuously improving both the quality and speed of the pipelines.\nContributing to test automation and participating in peer reviews to increase product quality.\nMaintaining a production-first mindset focused on scale, uptime, and the ability to rapidly triage and resolve production issues.\nInvesting in our Agile practice to continuously improve product quality, time to market, and team member happiness.\n What makes You an ideal candidate?\nSoftware development expertise in the high-level programming languages used by the product team.\nData and query analysis and optimization to deliver scalable, performant products and services.\nTest data management to drive automated, repeatable, and reliable testing.\nProficient in new feature development, automated testing, and implementation of security controls.\nExperience working in Agile Scrum teams, suggesting and contributing to improvements to help teams get better, faster, and happier.\nDemonstrates software development excellence by creating software that is simple, understandable, reusable, maintainable, and secure.\nTroubleshoots complex problems and works across teams to meet commitments.\nDrives adoption of best practices and cultivates innovation, continuous learning, and experimentation.\nStrong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.\nTechnology Expertise\nThe SDE II will have expertise in the following technologies and engineering practices, as required for the product being developed:\nPro-code and low-code environments: Developing cloud-native solutions.\nPipeline Automation: Azure DevOps, YAML, ARM, Terraform, Ansible, and Backstage.\nCybersecurity Tools: SonarQube, Checkmarx, Wiz, and Nucleus.\nSource Code Repositories: GitHub.\nUI and Application Development: JavaScript, CSS, Node.js, Python, Flask, and FastAPI.\n Containerization: Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Kubernetes, and Docker.\nHigh-Level Programming Languages: Python, Java, and JavaScript.\nScripting: PowerShell and Bash.\nDatabases: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, NoSQL databases such as Cosmos DB, and MongoDB.\n Artificial Intelligence: Generative AI (GenAI), AI agents, prompt design and engineering, tool calling, and embeddings.\nTest Automation: Xamarin.UITest, SpecFlow, Selenium, Postman, Maven, TestNG, and JMeter.\nOperating Systems: Windows and Linux.\nWork Experience & Education\nExperience in software development and test automation required\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field; and/or commensurate experience preferred\nWhat We Offer: Generous benefits package available on day one to include: 401K matching, bonding leave for new parents (12 weeks, 100% paid), tuition assistance, training, GM employee auto discount, community service pay and nine company holidays.\nOur Culture: Our team members define and shape our culture - an environment that welcomes innovative ideas, fosters integrity, and creates a sense of community and belonging.
