This role will support both the management and underwriting accounts functions, playing a key part in financial reporting, ledger management, and regulatory compliance within a complex insurance environment.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong insurance accounting experience to work across multi-entity structures, underwriting pools, and detailed reconciliations, while contributing to process improvements and strengthening financial controls within a highly respected London Market insurer.\nResponsibilities:\nManagement Accounts\nMaintain the general ledger\nPrepare and review monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, issue resolution)\nPerform expense variance analysis\nManage cash flow and support treasury/liquidity planning\nOversee month-end close (accruals, prepayments, journals)\nPrepare quarter-end journals (intercompany and recurring)\nSubmit quarterly VAT and annual P11D returns\nRun monthly payroll and process company/staff expenses\nSupport regulatory returns, budgeting, and forecasting\nAssist with statutory audit and annual tax pack\nUnderwriting Accounts\nMaintain underwriting pool ledgers\nPrepare quarterly premium and claims bordereaux\nProduce quarterly reporting outputs\nPost journals and reconcile to policy administration systems and expenses\nPerform balance sheet and ledger reconciliations, resolving discrepancies\nProcess premium receipts and claims payments;
