Will you join us?\nAs a Mechanical Engineer at GMB you will:\nParticipate in project team meetings and attend construction meetings with the client and project manager.\nBuild collaborative professional working relationship with various disciplines.\nPrepare building models, detailed construction documents, construction documents, load analysis, equipment sizing, ductwork sizing, hydronic system design, and specifications.\nDevelop expertise in a wide variety of complex and high efficiency mechanical systems.\nRegularly communicates with Project Manager(s) and team members to understand any changes to project design, scope, schedule and budget. Complete work in a timely manner and alert team members when a change in scope of work changes.\nCreate and maintain a positive relationship of trust with Clients regarding your area of expertise.\nWhat type of knowledge do I need to succeed in this role?\nMore than a specific degree and exact number of years of experience, we're most excited about what kind of knowledge you bring. For this role, we are seeking someone with senior knowledge who conceives and owns projects entirely, demonstrates knowledge of industry trends, and leads adoption of new approaches in their area.\nSome components that may help indicate you are at this knowledge milestone include more tangible items like:\nBachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program\n15+ years relevant experience in mechanical system design\nExperience coordinating work with multidisciplinary project teams\nDemonstrated understanding of the creation and interpretation of construction drawings and specifications, mechanical standards, regulations, and building codes\nAbility to successfully prioritize work, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines\nProficiency in MS Office suite, including Teams, Word, Excel and Outlook\nWhat might set you apart from other candidates?\nLicensed professional engineer (PE) preferred\nSkill in the use of Autodesk Revit to produce mechanical design documents\nComfort with communicating professionally with internal and external customers across all levels of an organization\nDemonstrated passion for the field of mechanical engineering and architectural engineering consulting field\nExcellent communication skills\nWe might be a great match for each other if you are:\nA self-starter with great time management who thrives in an environment with cross-discipline collaboration and team level decision making\nAn individual who contributes beyond themselves, is motivated by their team's success and works hard to ensure it\nSomeone who enjoys trying new ideas and constantly improving\nWhat you might also like to know:\nWe're an employee-owned company.
