Apply today.\nThe Role.\nWe are currently seeking a detail-oriented and drivenDesign Engineer to support the design process from tender stage through to construction on NTA projects.\nThis role involves coordinating design inputs, managing consultant deliverables, engaging with clients, and supporting internal teams across all project phases.\nKey Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:\nKey Responsibilities:\nReview RFP documentation and coordinate pricing from consultants and subcontractors.\nDevelop design proposals, programmes, and methodologies for submission.\nOrganise and manage site surveys and design deliverables during project mobilisation.\nLiaise with internal teams and designers to ensure timely progress and constructability input.\nSupport planning, permitting, and CPO processes as needed.\nManage and submit design change orders and progress updates.\nPresent developed designs at key milestones and finalise documentation for construction.\nProvide ongoing design coordination and support during the construction phase\nThe Candidate: Required Experience and Competencies:\n2+ years’ experience in a design coordination or civil engineering role.\nFamiliarity with utility infrastructure projects, roads, NTA projects.\nStrong organisational and communication skills.\nProficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS.\nBecome a part of something bigger.\nAt the heart of GMC is our people, from engineers through to customer service and we aim to work collaboratively towards our common goals.\nGMC is an equal opportunity employer, and we aim to recruit and retain like-minded people from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of expertise.
