Projects may include design/build, design/bid/build, general construction, construction management, CMaR, and self-performed trades. The APM contributes to project success from pursuit through closeout and reports to the Project Manager.\nKey Responsibilities\nAssist in project pursuits and bidding, including subcontractor outreach, general conditions estimates, self-perform takeoffs, and schedule support.\nHelp develop and maintain project schedules and support timely project execution.\nCoordinate project schedule and tasks with the Superintendent, QA/QC, and SSHO.\nReview project documents and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, codes, safety, and company policies.\nCommunicate project scope, contract requirements, and plan intent to internal staff and subcontractors.\nPrepare and review subcontract scopes, contracts, purchase orders, and contract changes.\nAssist with obtaining required permits, licenses, and approvals.\nSupport development of construction work plans, schedules, QCP, APP, EPP, AHAs, lift plans, and similar documentation.\nAssist with monthly invoicing and client billing processes.\nPrepare weekly SITREPs for safety, schedule, quality, progress, and client updates.\nWork with CQM to implement quality control programs.\nHelp strategize solutions for delays, weather impacts, or emergencies.\nFacilitate positive engagement with clients, subcontractors, and team members; take responsibility for meeting minutes.\nReview daily reports and support field documentation as needed.\nPromote and support site safety.\nAssist senior staff across divisions as needed.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nEducation & Experience Requirements\nHigh school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.\n5+ years of construction experience (field engineer, project engineer, estimator, or foreman) OR 10+ years in roles such as Superintendent, SSHO, or Quality Control Manager.\nProven success managing projects valued from $1M-$5M+.\nFederal project experience (DoD or civilian agencies) preferred.\nProficiency with Procore, MS Office, Excel, Word, MS Project, Outlook; Timberline preferred.\nCertifications: OSHA 30, USACE CQM.\nFamiliarity with EM385-1-1; ability to writeAHA s and APP s.\nSkills & Competencies\nSelf-motivated, disciplined, and capable of managing scope, budget, and schedule across multiple projects.\nAbility to read and interpret complex construction drawings (civil, structural, architectural, MEP).\nStrong customer service skills and relationship-building capability.\nEffective communicator, both verbal and written.\nStrong organizational and time-management skills; able to handle multiple priorities.\nAbility to walk uneven terrain and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lbs and occasional climbing or stooping.\nAdequate vision capabilities for construction environments.\nWillingness to travel within operational regions.\nStrong commitment to safety, leadership, coaching, and team development.\nAbility to adapt to challenges and problem-solve effectively.\nMust hold a valid driver’s license and pass background checks, drug screening, and federal security clearance processes.Other:\nU.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.\nValid driver’s license and insurance.\n Disclaimer: This is not to be an exclusive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of the person in this job.
