You will install units under test, configure instrumentation, and operate advanced test rigs to deliver reliable, high-quality data for our engineering teams. This lab-based role works closely with test engineers and technicians to develop fixtures, resolve test issues in real time, and help keep a fast-paced, high-performance test environment running safely and efficiently.\nKey Responsibilities\nInstall and configure UUTs (battery packs, modules, and cells) on advanced test beds.\nSet up and calibrate instrumentation including voltage, temperature, pressure, and flow sensors.\nExecute test procedures for high-voltage battery systems, including setup, monitoring, and teardown of test assets.\nOperate and monitor test equipment (cyclers, thermal chambers, DAQ systems) to ensure accurate data collection and safe operation.\nTroubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in test setups, identifying root cause and implementing corrective actions.\nSupport validation and durability testing of battery packs, modules, and associated components under various environmental conditions.\nAnalyze and document test data, ensuring results are recorded accurately and communicated to engineering teams.\nMaintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.\nCollaborate with engineers to develop and improve test procedures, fixtures, and methodologies.\nEnsure adherence to high-voltage safety protocols and PPE requirements at all times.\nAssist in building and modifying test rigs, harnesses, and instrumentation for development and validation activities.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test efficiency, data quality, and lab operations.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nUnderstanding of battery pack, module and cell systems.\nHands-on experience in test cell operations.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced testing environment.\nExcellent problem-solving and fault-finding capabilities.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nTechnical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of experience in battery pack, module and/or cell testing.\nPrior experience in motorsport, automotive, aerospace, or other high-performance testing environments.\nKnowledge of data acquisition systems and test automation tools.\nSkilled in fabrication and prototyping using mill, lathe, press drill, sheet metal, and welding tools.\nProficient in plumbing tasks including fabrication of coolant systems.\nFamiliarity with safe operation with and around High Voltage (HV) systems.
