The shifts are Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm. The wage range is $25 - $28 per hour, plus up to $4 per unit delivery bonus. This position has a demanding physical workload, including loading, unloading, and carrying large, awkward materials.\nKey Responsibilities\nDriving 3-ton and 5-ton cube vans\nDeliveries of doors and other building products as dictated by the needs of the business\nSuperior customer service while driving and delivering materials and products\nPerform safety pre-trip inspections on Slegg vehicles\nLoading and unloading of trucks\nGeneral housekeeping duties, or various yard and warehouse tasks as required or directed by management\nAssist shipper with loading and unloading of trucks\nDeliver materials to the satisfaction of customers and maintain an emphasis on safety, service, and efficiency\nCommunicate with customers and other trades on construction sites\nVerify load security and accuracy\nMaintain contact with shipper and work to resolve issues as they arise\nFollow all regulations, company policies, and procedures\nOther duties as assigned by management\nBasic Requirements\nPrevious driver experience\nFlexible work hours each day in order to complete necessary delivery orders\nFall protection is an asset\nMinimum valid Class 5 BC Drivers licence\nForklift operation experience an asset\nPrevious driver and roll off experience\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to lift and carry up to 100lbs.\nSitting and driving for extended periods of time\nFrequent climbing up and down stairs\nStrenuous physical labour; requires regular lifting and maneuvering of heavy doors\nPulling, pushing, bending, and twisting movements to transfer building materials between truck and job site\nBenefits\nHealth benefits - including drug coverage, practitioner, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance\nRetirement savings (pension or other) are provided\nPerks - Company discounts (mobile phone, etc.), training programs and opportunities for career advancement, group events, and more.\nIf you feel we are a good fit for your career goals and skillset, we invite you to apply and look forward to reviewing your application.
