You will manage fixed asset and project accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient month-end processes while supporting the business across multiple geographies.\nThe team you will be part of\nYou will join our Record-to-Report Finance Operations team based in Warsaw, supporting GN's global business with standardized accounting processes and financial expertise. Working alongside colleagues across Finance, Controlling, Procurement, and local business teams, you will play an important role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records.\nOur team values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. We support each other's development while striving to deliver high-quality financial services that create value for the business.\nYour contribution is appreciated, and you will:\nPerform end-to-end fixed asset accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.\n\nProcess asset creation, capitalization, transfers, retirements, disposals, and Capital Work in Progress (CWIP) transactions.\n\nMaintain the Fixed Asset Register and ensure assets are accurately recorded and depreciated.\n\nReview capitalization values, useful lives, and depreciation methods in accordance with company policies and accounting principles.\n\nMonitor and review CWIP balances, following up with asset owners to support timely capitalization or retirement decisions.\n\nExecute month-end depreciation runs and support period-end closing activities within agreed timelines.\n\nPrepare and post fixed asset adjustments, including those resulting from physical asset verification.\n\nSupport impairment assessments, asset revaluations, and fixed asset reconciliations.\n\nCollaborate with finance colleagues and business stakeholders to resolve accounting queries and ensure accurate project accounting.\n\nContribute to process improvements, standardization initiatives, and continuous enhancement of fixed asset accounting practices.\n\nSupport internal and external audit activities by providing accurate documentation and financial information.\n\nTo perform well in the role, we imagine that you:\nHold a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.\n\nHave experience working within Record-to-Report, General Ledger, or Fixed Asset Accounting.\n\nPossess a solid understanding of fixed asset accounting principles, capitalization, depreciation, and accounting standards.\n\nHave experience working with ERP systems and financial applications.\n\nAre comfortable using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools in your daily work.\n\nEnjoy collaborating with colleagues across different countries and business functions.\n\nHave a proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.\n\nAre fluent in spoken and written English.\n\nAt GN we pride ourselves on encouraging flexible working whenever possible\nWe trust our people to organize their work in the way that creates the greatest value.
