What matters is that you bring strong technical judgment, enjoy helping others grow, and can raise the engineering capability of the teams around you.\nThe Team you will be part of:\nThe Software department develops the cloud, desktop, and mobile applications that help hearing care professionals and end users get the most from our products. We work closely with colleagues across Product Management, Product Ownership, UX, Architecture, Quality, Regulatory, Security, DevOps, and engineering. The role is based in our Ballerup office and you will report to Torben Brødsgaard, Director, Mobile Apps.\nOur team values thoughtful technical decisions, open discussion of trade-offs, continuous learning, and shared responsibility for deliveries.\nBecause we develop software in a regulated environment, we must build quality, security, compliance, and traceability into how we design, develop, test, and evolve our products.\nYour contribution is appreciated, and you will:\nSet technical direction with architects, technical leads, and engineers across cloud, desktop, and mobile applications.\nGuide architectural and technical decisions, balancing customer needs, quality, security, maintainability, scalability, compliance, and technical risk.\nDevelop engineers through clear expectations, regular feedback, career conversations, and opportunities to build technical ownership.\nPromote robust engineering practices, including software design, code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, release management, and learning from incidents.\nIdentify and address technical debt, platform risks, architectural weaknesses, and opportunities for modernization.\nPartner with Quality and Regulatory colleagues to embed risk management, validation, documentation, change control, and traceability in everyday engineering work.\nIdentify responsible opportunities for AI-enabled product capabilities, developer tools, and automation, ensuring privacy, cybersecurity, quality, traceability, reliability, and human oversight are considered early.\nTo perform well in the role, we imagine that you:\nBring a strong technical software engineering background, with several years of experience as a software engineer, senior engineer, technical lead, engineering lead, or engineering manager in a product-development environment.\nHave significant hands-on experience developing and delivering Mobile Apps. You have worked with modern mobile application architecture, engineering practices, and the technical challenges involved in building, releasing, and maintaining high-quality mobile products.\nBring strong technical depth and sound engineering judgment, with experience in areas such as software architecture, technical design, APIs and connected systems, automated testing, CI/CD, security, scalability, maintainability, and technical risk management.\nIdeally, have broader experience with cloud and/or desktop software, enabling you to understand the end-to-end architecture and make good technical decisions across connected software products.\nExperience applying AI in software engineering or digital products is an advantage, for example through AI-enabled product capabilities, developer tooling, automation, or generative AI, combined with an understanding of privacy, security, quality, traceability, and human oversight.\nAre ready to support thedevelopment of others through technical credibility, constructive feedback, clear communication, and supportive leadership. Formal people-management experience is beneficial but not required.\nWork well with others across technical and non-technical teams, make trade-offs clear, and apply sound judgement when balancing technical ambition with maintainability, reliability, security, compliance, and customer value.\nExperience with agile ways of working, including SAFe or another scaled agile framework, is beneficial.\nMay have experience from a regulated environment, and understand how quality, compliance, validation, documentation, risk management, and change control affect software development.\nWe pride ourselves on encouraging flexible work whenever possible.
