Are you looking for a career with an established and stable company? \n\nPay/Schedule\n$70,000 - $95,000 Annually – Dependent on experience\n3rd Shift (Overnights): Sunday - Thursday from 10:15pm until 6:15am \n Under general supervision and following established procedures, the 3rd Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for providing Supervision and coordinating daily work activities for assigned Plant Operations employees.\n\nAll job responsibilities are to be performed in strict adherence with the Company’s Mission/Values Statement and in accordance with established standards for external customers as well as internal customers. \n\nPartial Position Summary\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED. \nResponsible for providing day-to-day work direction and communication of production specifications, and job orders to direct reports, and assigns duties.\nInspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines.\nManages and studies workflow, work orders, machine capacity, and production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.\nCommunicates company policies to workers and enforces company safety policies and ensures compliance with OSHA rules and regulations.\nProvides technical assistance/oversight, insight and troubleshooting to Machine Operators/Leads.\nEstablishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.\nRecommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.\nSuggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.\nAnalyzes and resolves work problems or assists direct reports in solving work problems.\nConducts periodic performance evaluations for direct reports and recommends adjustments in compensation in accordance with Company policy in a timely and efficient manner.\nParticipate in hiring, training and development of staff members as necessary to ensure optimum levels of staffing at all times.\nEstablish and maintain a \"Team Atmosphere\". Conduct staff meetings as required. \nInitiates performance management, corrective action and/or suggests plans to motivate direct reports to achieve plant operations goals.\nMaintains time and production records.\nEstimates, requisitions, and inspects materials and equipment.\nConfers with other Supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.\nResponsible for employee development and coaching.\nTrains or arranges training for new employees and cross training for existing employees.\nEstablish and maintain a \"Team Atmosphere\". \nPerforms a variety of miscellaneous job-related tasks that may be assigned by a management representative from time to time.\n\nADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES\nDevelops policies and procedures to achieve Great Northern objectives.\nAttends production and fulfillment planning meetings, special projects meetings, and Company functions. \nRemains current on changes in policies, procedures, and product information. Attends authorized training programs and seminars.\nEnsures compliance with established policies and procedures.\nAssists and provides leadership for Great Northern’s efforts in World Class Manufacturing.\n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED\nHigh school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and a minimum of 2 - 3 years’ supervisory experience.
