Information Systems S.A. is a Greek software company with more than 25 years of experience, specialising in the development of complex IT projects, mainly in the telecommunications sector.\n\nWe are looking for an experienced Senior PL/SQL Developer to join our software development team and contribute to the design, development, and optimisation of enterprise applications based on Oracle technologies.\n\nPosition code: PLSQLDEV\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code.\n\nDevelop and optimise stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and database jobs.\n\nAnalyse and improve the performance of SQL queries and database operations.\n\nInvestigate production issues and provide effective, long-term solutions.\n\nParticipate in database and application architecture decisions.\n\nReview existing code and contribute to its technical improvement and modernisation.\n\nCollaborate with Java developers, business analysts, and QA engineers.\n\nPrepare clear technical documentation and follow software development best practices.\n\nParticipate in code reviews and provide guidance to less-experienced team members.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nUniversity degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.\n\nAt least 5 years of professional experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.\n\nStrong knowledge of Oracle Database and relational database design.\n\nExtensive experience with PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, cursors, and exception handling.\n\nProven ability to diagnose and optimise complex SQL queries.\n\nExperience with execution plans, indexes, query tuning, and performance analysis.\n\nGood understanding of transactions, concurrency, locking, and data integrity.\n\nExperience with version-control systems such as Git.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\n\nFluency in Greek and English.\n\nNice to Have\n\nFamiliarity with Oracle administration and monitoring tools.\n\nExperience with data migration, ETL processes, or high-volume databases.\n\nKnowledge of REST and SOAP web services.\n\nPrevious experience in mentoring developers or providing technical guidance.\n\nWhat We Offer\n\nCompetitive compensation based on qualifications and experience.\n\nThe opportunity to work on substantial, business-critical enterprise systems.\n\nA stable and collaborative working environment.\n\nTechnically challenging projects with real operational impact.\n\nOpportunities for professional development and increased responsibility.\n\nAll applications will be treated as confidential.\n\nIf you are interested in applying for the position, please send us your CV, quoting PLSQLDEV in the subject line at \n\nG.N.T.
