step.\nMechanical Design & Project Delivery\nDevelop mechanical design drawings, preliminary layouts, and technical sketches using computer-aided design software.\n\nSupport the delivery of mechanical building services projects under the guidance of the Mechanical Engineering Manager and senior project team members.\n\nAssist with the design and development of mechanical systems for building retrofits, equipment replacements, renovations, tenant fit-outs, and new construction.\n\nPrepare and revise technical drawings and documentation to meet project requirements, applicable codes, and established quality standards.\n\nCoordinate with internal team members, designers, and drafters to ensure drawings and project deliverables are accurate and complete.\n\nReview project requirements with supervisors and coordinate the allocation of tasks and resources as needed.\n\nMonitor assigned work to help ensure projects meet established schedules, budgets, and quality expectations.\n\nSite Assessments & Construction Administration\nConduct site visits to survey, assess, and document existing mechanical building systems and equipment.\n\nEvaluate existing conditions and support the development of practical mechanical design and retrofit solutions.\n\nParticipate in construction administration activities throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nAssist with reviewing construction-related documentation and coordinating project requirements with relevant stakeholders.\n\nAttend site meetings and client discussions to support project progress and resolve technical questions.\n\nCommunicate site findings, project updates, and technical observations to the engineering team.\n\nHelp ensure project deliverables align with design intent, applicable building codes, and client expectations.\n\nClient Relations & Team Collaboration\nWork closely with senior project managers, engineers, designers, and other team members to deliver successful project outcomes.\n\nParticipate in client meetings and contribute to technical discussions, project updates, and problem-solving activities.\n\nBuild positive working relationships with clients, consultants, bring hands-on mechanical building services experience, strong AutoCAD skills, and an interest in developing their technical capabilities within a consulting engineering environment.\nRequired and preferred qualifications include:\nA minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience in mechanical building services design.\n\nA diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, mechanical building services, or a related technical program.\n\nExperience with building mechanical retrofits, renovations, and equipment replacements is preferred.\n\nGood working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.\n\nFamiliarity with the National Building Code of Canada and the Ontario Building Code.\n\nProficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.\n\nExperience preparing mechanical drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.\n\nExposure to site assessments, construction administration, and coordination with contractors or consultants is an asset.\n\nStrong written and verbal
