We are building a modern, technology-driven lending institution founded on sound governance and responsible lending.\n\nTHE ROLE\n\nReporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Lending Operations Lead will be responsible for end-to-end lending operations, credit assessment, portfolio quality and supervision of field staff.\n\nAppraise and approve loan applications within delegated authority limits.\n\nMaintain portfolio quality and keep arrears within approved limits.\n\nSupervise, support and monitor the performance of field loan officers and agents.\n\nFollow up overdue accounts and manage the arrears escalation process.\n\nClassify arrears and compute loan loss provisions monthly.\n\nEnsure all lending complies with company policy and regulatory requirements.\n\nPrepare timely reports on portfolio performance, credit risks and operations for management and the Board.\n\nSupport product development and lending process improvements.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\n\nMinimum: Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Business Administration or a related field.\n\nA Bachelor’s degree in a related field will be an added advantage.\n\nA professional qualification in credit or microfinance management is an added advantage.\n\nEXPERIENCE\n\nMinimum of three (3) years’ practical experience in lending, microfinance, banking or credit management.\n\nDemonstrable experience managing a loan portfolio, with evidence of maintaining a low portfolio at risk.\n\nPractical experience in loan appraisal, disbursement processes and arrears management.\n\nExperience supervising and managing field teams will be an added advantage.\n\nWorking knowledge of group lending methodology is an added advantage.\n\nFamiliarity with Reserve Bank of Malawi microfinance regulations is an added advantage.\n\nTHE REQUIREMENTS\n\nComputer literate and familiar with loan management systems.\n\nFluent in Chichewa and English, both written and spoken.\n\nHigh personal integrity and prepared to decline applications that do not meet criteria.\n\nA valid driving licence is an added advantage.\n\nHOW TO APPLY\n\nSend an application letter, curriculum vitae, copies of certificates and names of two referees to:\n\n\n\nThe Chief Executive Officer\n\nGoCash Ltd | P/Bag 244, Lilongwe\n\nLilongwe, Malawi\n\nCLOSING DATE\n\n30 October 2026\n\nGoCash is an equal opportunity employer.
