Join us in shaping the future of transformative technology - together.\nThe Role:\nGoddard is seeking a Project Manager with a background in product development to join our growing team. In this role you will interface with the Goddard team as well as the client, managing client relationships and team members to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction and project success. The successful candidate will have excellent project management skills, technical expertise, and communication abilities. The Project Manager role is a hybrid position with frequent travel to client sites.\nResponsibilities:\nDeliver profitable project outcomes through effective project management by owning the project’s vision, tracking budget and project progress, maintaining a strong and open relationship with the client.\nCoordinate all aspects of program activities between the client and Goddard engineering, industrial design, quality, testing, documentation, etc. as well as with other external stakeholders (vendors)\nWork with Program Management to identify resources and coordinate project kickoff with all relevant stakeholders.\nGenerate dashboards, reports, and presentations to deliver to internal management or clients. Present weekly updates on projects\nCommunicate clearly with the client and empower them with data to help them make confident, prudent decisions throughout the product development process.\nDefine project structure for time entry, capturing out of scope work, and tracking risks\nIdentify necessary resource adjustments and update the Goddard ERP system.\nMotivate and manage project leads as well as the team dynamic.\nGenerate schedules, tasks, and assign work to the team. Track and maintain project tasks/objectives to ensure the project is progressing as expected.\nReport back on Goddard architectures or systems which may be deficient or contribute to labor inefficiencies.\nIdentify new business opportunities with existing clients. Work with the client to understand, refine, and agree on the new project requirements.\nSupport new business/client proposal creation. Rapidly come up to speed on the project based on RFP documentation.\nEnsure compliance with the client’s or Goddard’s Quality Management System.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.\n3+ years of relevant PM/leadership experience, with 4+ years working on product development engineering teams. PMP certification a plus.\nA thorough understanding of the end-to-end product development process.\nAbility to discern and understand the client’s product and business needs.\nExcellent communication (written and verbal), collaboration, and relationship-building skills with the client, technical team, and business development team.\nAbility to lead multidisciplinary high caliber design and development teams.\nAbility to understand technical challenges, be able to communicate the challenges internally and to the client and drive the team to an optimized solution.\nAbility to make informed decisions necessary to keep schedules and budgets on track.\nExperience in the development and management of products in Robotics Systems and Automation industry is a plus.\nProficiency in the following software: Microsoft Office Suite, Gantt programs (such as MS Project), Task Tracking systems such as Asana, Jira, etc.\nAbility to travel domestically a minimum of 25%.\n\nOur Benefits:\nFlexible Time Off: Benefit from our generous flexible time off policy.
