An interested and proactive person, who's constantly learning and improving their skills.\nAre you the one we are looking for?\nResponsibilities:\nOwn data workflows end to end, including ingestion, storage, orchestration, transformation, validation, and delivery.\n\nBuild and maintain reliable inbound and outbound data transfers using cloud storage, secure file transfer protocols, and other integration methods.\n\nDevelop and maintain ETL and ELT pipelines using workflow orchestration and event-driven processing.\n\nManage data across cloud storage, data warehouses, and analytical databases.\n\nDesign and optimize data models, schemas, queries, and transformations for reliable, efficient processing.\n\nOwn custom datasets supporting large clients and company partnerships, maintaining a clear understanding of their sources, business definitions, lineage, and downstream dependencies.\n\nPartner with Customer Success, Operations, and Engineering to clarify requirements, investigate discrepancies, and communicate technical constraints and data behavior.\n\nImplement and maintain data quality checks, automated tests, monitoring, and alerts to ensure datasets are accurate, complete, and delivered on time.\n\nTroubleshoot production issues across transfers, pipelines, and databases; identify root causes and implement lasting fixes.\n\nMaintain documentation covering data flows, dataset definitions, architectural decisions, and operational recovery procedures.\n\nEvaluate technical approaches through research and prototypes, explaining tradeoffs in reliability, performance, cost, and maintainability.\n\nApply appropriate access controls and secure data handling practices throughout the data lifecycle.\n\nRequirements:\n2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.\nExperience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting production data pipelines.\n\nStrong Python skills for data processing, automation, and integrations.\n\nStrong SQL skills, including complex transformations, query optimization, and diagnosing data discrepancies.\n\nPractical understanding of ETL and ELT patterns, workflow orchestration, and pipeline recovery.\n\nExperience with cloud object storage and file-based data transfers, including familiarity with SFTP.\n\nExperience designing data models and working with relational databases, including schemas, indexes, and query performance.\n\nAbility to trace data from its source through transformations to downstream outputs and explain both its technical behavior and business meaning.\n\nAbility to independently investigate problems, evaluate solutions, and support technical recommendations with evidence.\n\nClear communication skills and experience collaborating with technical and nontechnical teams.\n\nIt's a plus:\nExperience with AWS, particularly Amazon S3 and AWS Lambda.\n\nExperience with Apache Airflow or a comparable orchestration platform.\n\nExperience with PostgreSQL, Amazon Redshift, or ClickHouse.\n\nExperience managing custom datasets or integrations supporting enterprise customers or business partnerships.\n\nFamiliarity with marketing analytics or first-party customer data.\n\nCompensation:\nThe salary range offered for this position varies from (USD) $2,000 - $2,500 per month, depending on seniority and skillset.\n\nThis position is for a full time contract, through a payroll platform.\n\nThe talent will work remotely allocated at our client.\n\nHere are the steps for this process:\nApplication review/approval > Screening interview with GoFasti's team > We build and send your profile to our client > Profile review/approval by client > Interview with the client > Hiring and onboarding.\nOnce you apply for the job, our team will review your resume.
