You'll combine deep hands-on engineering with architectural leadership - setting the standard for how we build, ship, and operate AI-powered finance software at enterprise scale. You'll work directly with our CTO and founding team to make the critical technical decisions that define our product and platform. This is not a management-only role - you'll write code, shape architecture, mentor engineers, and drive the technical roadmap. We're headquartered in Munich, with roots in San Francisco through Y Combinator.\nWhat you'll do\nOwn architecture and technical direction across our platform - from AI pipelines and ERP integrations to frontend and infrastructure.\n\nBuild and ship production features end-to-end, setting the bar for quality, speed, and reliability.\n\nDrive the technical roadmap together with our CTO, translating product ambitions into engineering plans.\n\nMentor and grow engineers on the team - through code reviews, pairing, and setting engineering standards.\n\nMake pragmatic technology and design decisions that balance speed with long-term scalability.\n\nOptimize AI model performance and workflow reliability in real-world, mission-critical customer scenarios.\n\nWhat we're looking for\n5+ years of full-stack development experience, with a track record of building and shipping complex products - ideally AI-powered or enterprise-focused.\n\nStrong JavaScript/TypeScript skills with deep experience in React and Next.js.\n\nBackend expertise in Node.js or comparable languages like Python or Go, with a focus on scalable APIs and AI-driven services.\n\nHands-on experience with AI models and APIs - you've integrated, evaluated, and optimized LLMs in production.\n\nProven ability to make sound architectural decisions and own technical direction across a product.\n\nExperience mentoring engineers and raising the bar for engineering quality in a team.\n\nA builder's mindset -
