Candidates considered for this role will be located in Buenos Aires, Argentina.\nThe Job\nRefine and execute GoFundMe's multi-year payments strategy to grow giving through innovative use cases, and bring more of our core payments capabilities in-house.\nDesign and implement the end-to-end product lifecycle for payout solutions, from ideation to launch and iteration.\nCollaborate with engineers, product management, designers, and external partners to design and implement next-generation payments infrastructure for GoFundMe, creating impact in service of our customers, mission, and business.\nOwn critical technical decisions across ledgering, money movement, and disbursement, anticipating future use cases and designing to minimize the cost of future change.\nMentor other engineers through chat, code review, and pair programming, and advocate for improvements to the codebase, providing leadership to others within the team.\nLead projects from conception to completion, balancing technical trade-offs and business needs, communicating progress and challenges to stakeholders, and keeping teams aligned with project goals.\nYou\nAre a seasoned engineer with deep expertise in payment systems and a track record of building and shipping impactful features. 5+ years of relevant experience in some or many of the following areas: Checkout/Payment methods, Payouts, Ledgering, Reconciliation, Interchange, KYC/Onboarding.\nHave experience architecting services and systems using well-accepted design patterns to enable future scaling.
