You will develop new features, enhance existing software components, and test feature functionality on both existing products and our Next Generation 5G Air to Ground solution. You will be part of an experienced development team that integrates closely with other teams across the company.\nDo you want to work with people who are experts in their field and have fun working together?\nCOME ON BOARD THE GOGO AIRBORNE PLATFORM SOFTWARE ENGINEERING TEAM!\nHow will you make a difference?\nDesign and develop software features for new products or extend design of existing products, including selection and integration of third-party technologies, particularly open source\n\nCreate high and low-level design documentation\n\nConduct design reviews and participate in code inspections\n\nAssist in development of automated unit tests\n\nProvide estimates for design and feature development\n\nTrack project stories/tasks, provide status, and ensure stories/tasks are completed on schedule\n\nContinually improve design, development, and test processes\n\nMay participate in establishing and maintaining software build environment and source code repository for assigned projects\n\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience\n\n7-12 years of software development experience, preferably in a Linux or embedded systems environment\n\nUnderstanding of Linux networking includingrouting,iptables,DHCP, and DNS\n\nRequired Skills, Experience and Talents\nStrong application development skills in Linux environments utilizing Python and/or Linux scripting languages, C/C++, and possibly Go\n\nExperience as a Software Engineer developing software and utilizing open source packages in data communications and/or telecommunications systems\n\nSkilled in Jenkins automation build and test environment\n\nRelevant software configuration management and tools skills using Git\n\nKnowledge of Linux container concepts, especially Docker related\n\nPreferred Skills,Experience and Talents\nExperience with 802.11ac wireless networking\n\nUnderstanding of traffic shaping and QoS\n\nHas worked with the Agile software development methodology and SAFe framework\n\nAvionics and ARINC protocols knowledge\n\nWorking knowledge of the DO-178C certification process\n\nSatellite communication experience\n\n Equal Pay Disclosure(s)\nBase Pay:\n104,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD AnnualTarget Annual Short-Term Incentive:\nBonus Plan at 10% (% of Annualized Base Pay)Eligible for Incentive Stock Program:\nYesBenefits:\nGogo offers competitive benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage with plans that can fit each employee’s needs.
