We also foster a culture built on high performance, collaboration, continuous improvement, and ongoing professional development.\nSummary:\nThis role will support engineering design and development activities.\nResponsibilities:\nLead and support the engineering activities for large scale product development programs by investigating feasibility, performing design using 3-D modeling software, conduct layout review and 2D drawing creation. \nAnalyze and resolve complex problems independently or with minimal guidance. \nCreate part specification requirements and BOM. \nNegotiate with surrounding component business units and suppliers. \nPerform cost analysis, strength calculations and material selection. \nUse best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve product and/or processes. \nSearch new ways to increase overall efficiency, utilize up-to-date technology, and reduce design and parts costs \nTravel to client sites required.\nQualifications:\nMinimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5+ years Chassis design experience. \nEducation with the following specialties preferred: Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing.5+ years of experience using 3-D modeling software tools CATIA V5/V6 required \n3+ years of experience designing suspension components and systems preferred. \nStrong understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) required. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills. \nProficiency in MS office.\nThe pay range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base pay only.
