We also foster a culture built on high performance, collaboration, continuous improvement, and ongoing professional development.\nSummary:\nThis role will support engineering design and development activities.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop exterior trim part models from early concepts through detailed design maturation in CATIA 3DX \nCreate and refine A-surface and engineering surfaces while maintaining design intent and downstream manufacturability. \nDefine part geometry, interfaces, attachment features, locating schemes, and datum structures. \nApply GD&T and support tolerance stack-up reviews to achieve fit, function, and assembly targets. \nCreate part specification requirements and BOM. \nNegotiate with surrounding component business units and suppliers. \nPerform cost analysis, strength calculations, and material selection. \nUse best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve product and/or processes. \nSearch for new ways to increase overall efficiency, utilize up-to-date technology, and reduce design and parts costs \nTravel to client sites required.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant industry experience \nEducation with the following specialties preferred: Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing. \nProficiency in 3D modeling with CATIA V6/3DX \nHands-on experience with A-surface part modeling and production-intent product definition. \nWorking knowledge of GD&T, datum schemes, locating strategy, and tolerance stack-up. \nStrong understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) required. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills. \nProficiency in MS Office.\nThe pay range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base pay only.
