Develop and manage short- to medium-term plans that achieve production and development targets while maximizing business value and maintaining compliance with Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards.\nUp to six months’ free, company-provided accommodation may be available for eligible candidates from under-represented groups (for example, women in mining and Indigenous Australians) relocating to Kambalda for permanent roles.\nAccommodation includes basic furnishings and utilities and is subject to availability and housing policy, with support available to assist with transitioning to a lease after the initial six-month period. Eligibility and final terms will be discussed during the recruitment process.\nWhy You’ll Love Working for Us\nPermanent role with a leading gold producer\nQuarterly bonus up to 10% per annum, private health insurance allowance\nIndustry leading employee benefits including private health insurance\nWhat You’ll Do\nDevelop and manage the two-week mine schedule in consultation with key stakeholders, ensuring it aligns with operational capability and supports the achievement of the three-monthly schedule (3MS) objectives.\nSupport the success of the mining operation by working closely with the Senior Mine Production Engineer to drive and achieve planned production and safety targets.\nAssist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of reporting (Weekly variance reports, Daily reports, performance tracking etc) to support informed decision-making. Provide accurate information on production performance, safety, critical path activities, and high-risk areas to help guide operational planning and priorities.\nCreate competent, consistent and optimal drill and blast designs that account for the most up-to-date economic and geological information.\nMonitor progress and performance to ensure activities remain aligned with weekly production targets and are completed safely.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nHave a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.\nProven underground/surface engineering experience with exposure to longhole drilling, blasting, ventilation, projects, planning and scheduling - preferably gold\nExposure to contract mining environments\nDemonstrated practical underground experience\nExperience using Microsoft Office Suite and mining software such as Deswik\nAbout Gold Fields\nAt Gold Fields, we believe great leadership is grounded in empathy, respect, and growth.
