Nighthawk’s flexibility and expertise across the cybersecurity fieldprovides customized solutions to our customer's unique needs.\nSummary:The Database Administrator VI provides senior-level database administration, development, performance tuning, data management, backup and recovery, and database integration support for EFMSS and associated systems. This position is responsible for maintaining database availability, integrity, performance, security, and recoverability while supporting application, reporting, and data requirements.\n\nResponsibilities\nEssential Job Functions:\nInstall, configure, upgrade and maintain database(s) and underlying server infrastructure. This includes updating processes, data flows, and objects (usually shown in diagrams).\n\nMaintain databases at recommended maintenance levels prescribed by the product manufacturer.\n\nMonitor data retrieval from the database to determine performance improvements.\n\nProvide database performance tuning in support of improving applications performance and system-wide database contention and concurrent user tuning.\n\nMaintain performance and tuning plans for online processes and databases.\n\nDevelop and maintain interfaces to allow existing exterior systems to exchange data and provide unique support required for various database applications.\n\nMaintain a complete inventory of database and application interconnections and interfaces.\n\nAssure maximum continuity of operations by minimizing database and data replication downtime associated with database modification or recovery.\n\nPerform data/database backup and recovery routines for data integrity and recoverability.\n\nProvide support to software and report developers with developing efficient application and report queries.\n\nProvide support to software and report developers to troubleshoot issues that may be database or data related.\n\nMaintain changes to the existing database structures and maintain software to provide synchronization.\n\nDevelop database solutions for application requirements when defined.\n\nPerform production control and quality control functions (batch submissions, checking and corrections).\n\nMerge data from various data sources import/export data from databases; extract and combine data from different sources.\n\nEnsure that input data and output data and databases are correct and continually checked for accuracy and completeness.\n\nCorrect data accuracy and completeness errors when identified.\n\nProduce exports of specific subsets of data.\n\nProvide analysis of data and anomaly identification.\n\nRecommend and implement corrective measures.\n\nDevelop data management and analysis procedures.\n\nQualifications\n\nNecessary Skills and Knowledge:\nAdvanced knowledge of database administration, development, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and data management.\n\nKnowledge of database architecture, structures, interfaces, data flows, and integration.\n\nKnowledge of database security, availability, integrity, and recoverability practices.\n\nKnowledge of data quality, analysis, and data management principles.\n\nAbility to troubleshoot complex database and data-related problems.\n\nAbility to develop database solutions supporting application requirements.\n\nAbility to analyze data quality, performance, and system behavior.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\n\nStrong technical documentation skills.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMinimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in database administration, database development, or a related field.\n\nDemonstrated experience administering production databases.\n\nExperience with database performance monitoring and tuning.\n\nExperience with database backup, recovery, and data integrity processes.\n\nExperience developing or maintaining database interfaces and data exchanges.\n\nRequired to successfully pass a background investigation. \n\nPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Database Administration, or a related technical field.\nPay and BenefitsThe annual salary range for this position is $130,000 to $140,000.\nAt Goldbelt, we value and reward our team's dedication and hard work.
