The position is responsible for configuring and maintaining virtual servers and network components, patching systems, monitoring availability and performance, troubleshooting failures, managing scheduled operations, maintaining infrastructure inventories, and supporting backup, recovery, security, and contingency operations.\n\nResponsibilities\nEssential Job Functions:\nProvision, configure, and reconfigure virtual servers and network components.\n\nPerform patch management for infrastructure components and virtual servers.\n\nMonitor systems to identify failures, performance issues, and availability concerns.\n\nTroubleshoot system failures and performance issues and implement corrective actions to restore system availability.\n\nEnsure assigned environments remain functional and perform in accordance with requirements.\n\nMonitor systems and networks to ensure availability during required operating hours.\n\nSchedule recurring system operations activities to minimize user impact and system downtime.\n\nImplement approved non-emergency service requests during scheduled outages.\n\nMaintain inventories of infrastructure components, licensed software, and systems.\n\nMaintain DNS entry inventories within the applicable nps.gov environment.\n\nInterface with other functional and technical areas to perform day-to-day system checks and corrections.\n\nMonitor service-level objectives and system performance.\n\nMaintain system logs, performance measurements, and operational statistics.\n\nEnsure regularly scheduled jobs are submitted and completed correctly.\n\nMonitor security controls and performance statistics and escalate issues as appropriate.\n\nSupport configuration, security, and design reviews and audits.\n\nSupport implementation of approved system changes.\n\nSupport backup and recovery operations and maintain backup schedules.\n\nParticipate in backup restoration testing.\n\nSupport disaster recovery and business continuity activities.\n\nAssist with contingency planning, recovery, restoration, and annual disaster recovery testing.\n\nComplete or support incident documentation following production outages.\n\nPerform other duties as needed.\n\nQualifications\n\nNecessary Skills and Knowledge:\nKnowledge of system administration, virtual servers, infrastructure operations, patch management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.\n\nKnowledge of network components, DNS, system availability, and scheduled system operations.\n\nKnowledge of backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices.\n\nKnowledge of system security controls and vulnerability remediation.\n\nAbility to diagnose and resolve system and infrastructure problems.\n\nAbility to monitor system performance and availability.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMinimum of three (3) years of experience in system administration, infrastructure operations, or a related IT field.\n\nExperience supporting servers, virtual environments, operating systems, or network infrastructure.\n\nExperience with system monitoring, troubleshooting, and patch management.\n\nExperience supporting backup and recovery activities.\n\nRequired to successfully pass a background investigation. \n\nPreferred Qualifications:Associate's or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.\nPay and BenefitsThe annual salary range for this position is $87,000 to $89,000.\nAt Goldbelt, we value and reward our team's dedication and hard work.
