This role is responsible for creating initial specifications, maintaining accurate tech packs, and supporting fit and construction standards throughout the product lifecycle.\nThe Associate Technical Designer will partner closely with the Technical Design Manager and Design Team to enhance processes, uphold brand integrity, and deliver high-quality garments that meet the needs of multiple customers. This role is ideal for someone looking to deepen their technical expertise while contributing to a fast-paced, collaborative environment.\nResponsibilities\nCreate initial specifications and support the development of tech packs, ensuring alignment with design intent, construction requirements, and customer standards.\nMaintain detailed and accurate tech packs, ensuring consistency across BOMs, sewing details, specifications, inspiration, and prior production styles.\nAttend daily handoff meetings and collaborate with Designers to translate aesthetic vision and fit intent into technical execution.\nSupport fit sessions and contribute to maintaining fit consistency within assigned product areas.\nMake appropriate recommendations-partnering with peers and leadership-regarding specs, patterns, construction methods, and techniques to improve garment fit, balance, and overall quality.\nPartner with the Technical Design Manager and cross-functional teams to enhance and evolve processes and procedures as the business grows.\nEnsure brand integrity and product quality throughout the development process while balancing the needs of multiple customers.\nManage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Fashion, Technical Design, or a related field preferred.\n1-2 years of experience in the apparel industry, Technical Design, or a related field.\nFoundational knowledge of patternmaking, fit, balance, and garment construction.\nStrong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to multi-task and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).\nExperience with web-based applications such as PDM, PLM, FLEX PLM, or comparable systems.\nPrior experience in cut-and-sew product categories.\nDemonstrated interest in continuing to build technical knowledge and expertise within apparel development.\nHybrid Work Schedule\n4 days a week in the office, 1 day work from home\nNew York Pay Rate $63,000 - $75,000\nWe strive to hire and nurture amazing talent.
