Provides documents case notes, maintaining updated and accurate case notes at all times. \nProvide one-on-one career counseling and coaching to help survivors identify suitable job opportunities. \nAssist survivors in creating and updating resumes and cover letters tailored to specific job applications. \nHelp survivors navigate online job portals and application processes. \nEstablish and maintain relationships with local employers to identify potential job openings for survivors. \nPilot a new job training innovative that awards four survivors throughout the program year with tuition assistance towards a job certification program/apprenticeship. \nAdvocates for clients as needed while providing them with or connecting them to appropriate resources and/or referrals (legal, transportation, children's services, counseling, etc.). \nHelps clients develop goals and tracks progress. \nIn conjunction with other SDV staff members, helps maintain the emergency shelter. \nCrisis hotline:\nDaily provides immediate crisis support to victims in need by managing the crisis hotline. \nConducts a risk assessment to determine the level of danger. \nDetermines safety measures, if law enforcement is needed, and what options are safest. \nAssesses for shelter needs. \nProvides emotional support. \nOn-call support:\nRotates overnight and weekend on-call support with other SDV-trained staff. \nEnsures the on-call schedule is created and sent to the regional hotline, front desk, senior leadership, and SDV team each month. \nGrant writing:\nAssists with SDV-specific grant writing, tracking, and reporting. \nCommunity outreach efforts:\nProvides educational presentations to Goochland individuals, groups, and other partners in surrounding counties twice each quarter. \nAttends local, regional, and state-wide network and training events/meetings. \nStays updated on SDV-related issues and legal matters by networking with other SDV programs, identifying resources, and learning ways to improve the program. \nCollaborates with other GoochlandCares program coordinators in the overall support of clients in the shelter: client needs, caseload management, and evaluating any other SDV-related need. \nCreates and implements outreach strategies to underserved populations of SDV. \nRecords program expenses, allocates funding, and submits expense receipts to Finance as incurred. \nTrains, supervises, and tracks SDV volunteers throughout the year to ensure the program has the support it needs, and volunteer hours are tracked. \nConnects clients to other GoochlandCares services or to other organizations to help them with their needs. \nCompletes other duties as assigned. \nRequirements\nMSW/LCSW with 2 years of experience preferred, or BSW with 5 years of domestic violence experience. \n3+ years of experience working with SDV victims. \nExperience supervising employees and volunteers. \nAbility to be on-call to support SDV program and urgent matters. \nAbility to handle highly confidential and sensitive matters in dealing with clients and staff, with a trauma-informed care approach. \nAbility to always maintain strong boundaries. \nStrong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills displaying a caring, tactful, diplomatic, and respectful attitude towards staff, volunteers, and clients. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills. \nFlexibility to adapt to changing situations and schedules. \nAbility to multi-task, have strong attention to detail, and manage different priorities while understanding the big picture. \nStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects. \nStrong self-awareness and willingness to seek assistance when needed. \nCommitment to the mission of GoochlandCares. \nUnderstand that all employees participate in engaging volunteers to help fulfill our mission. \nMust have a valid driver's license in good standing. \nTechnical Skills:\nProficiency with Microsoft Office is required, specifically Excel. \nAbility to learn new software programs/databases. \n Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:\nMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. \nProlonged periods of sitting, standing, typing, talking, lifting, and driving. \nOccasionally may be required to wear personal protective equipment (mask, gloves, etc.) \nSalary
