& Responsibilities :\n\n- Manage, administer, and maintain enterprise database environments across production, development, and test systems.\n\n- Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and troubleshoot database servers and related components.\n\n- Monitor database performance, availability, capacity, and overall health.\n\n- Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and troubleshooting of performance issues.\n\n- Implement and maintain High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), backup, and restore strategies.\n\n- Manage database backup and recovery processes and ensure compliance with defined RPO/RTO requirements.\n\n- Plan and execute database migrations, upgrades, consolidations, and technology refreshes.\n\n- Implement database security, access controls, roles, permissions, encryption, and auditing.\n\n- Troubleshoot complex database incidents and provide root-cause analysis and permanent corrective actions.\n\n- Work closely with application, infrastructure, DevOps, cloud, and security teams to support business-critical applications.\n\n- Automate routine DBA activities using scripting and automation tools.\n\n- Maintain database documentation, operational procedures, architecture diagrams, and disaster-recovery documentation.\n\n- Participate in production deployments, change management, incident management, and on-call support when required.\n\n- Monitor database capacity and proactively plan for future growth.\n\n- Ensure databases comply with organizational security, governance, and regulatory requirements.\n\n- Mentor junior DBAs and contribute to improving DBA processes, standards, and best practices.\n\n- Evaluate new database technologies and recommend improvements to database architecture and operations.\n\nPreferred Candidate Profile :\n\n- 5-10 years of experience in database administration, preferably in a large-scale enterprise or production environment.\n\n- Strong hands-on experience with one or more major database platforms such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar.\n\n- Strong understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, backup/recovery, HA, and DR.\n\n- Experience with Oracle RAC/Data Guard, SQL Server Always On, PostgreSQL replication, or equivalent HA/DR technologies is an advantage.\n\n- Good knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows server environments.\n\n- Experience with cloud database platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud is preferred.\n\n- Working knowledge of cloud services such as AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure SQL Database, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, or equivalent platforms is desirable.\n\n- Strong SQL skills and experience troubleshooting complex queries and database performance issues.\n\n- Experience with database monitoring and management tools.\n\n- Proficiency in scripting/automation using Shell, Python, PowerShell, or similar technologies.\n\n- Experience with database migration, upgrades, patching, capacity planning, and environment management.\n\n- Good understanding of database security, access management, encryption, auditing, and compliance.\n\n- Familiarity
