The role also ensures shipping processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with best practices across ecommerce logistics.\nThrough strong operational leadership and continuous improvement, this position helps ensure the ecommerce department delivers excellent customer experiences while driving profitability and operational efficiency.\nKey Responsibilities\nFulfillment Operations\nLead and manage the ecommerce shipping team to ensure all orders are processed accurately and shipped on time.\nEnsure fulfillment KPIs are consistently met, including:\nOn-time shipment rates\nOrder accuracy\nLow damage rates during shipment\nLow return rates related to packaging or fulfillment errors\nPositive customer feedback and reviews\nOversee daily order fulfillment including picking, packing, labeling, and shipment preparation.\nEnsure the use of efficient picking, packing, and shipping workflows that support high order volume and quick turnaround times.\nMonitor fulfillment performance and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and maintain service levels.\nEnsure packages are prepared using proper materials and packaging standards to protect items during transit.\nInventory Management\nMaintain strong oversight of ecommerce inventory to ensure accuracy, organization, and asset protection.\nImplement and maintain inventory best practices, including:\nInventory tracking and system accuracy\nOrganized storage and shelving standards\nClear labeling and bin management\nProper handling of fragile or high-value items\nConduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.\nLead inventory cleanup initiatives to remove inactive, lost, or improperly stored inventory.\nEnsure inventory systems and physical storage remain aligned and accurate.\nManage inventory life cycle including intake, storage, fulfillment, relisting, and removal of unsellable goods.\nOperational Excellence\nMaintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, applying 5S principles and operational best practices.\nEnsure proper handling and protection of donated goods and company assets throughout the fulfillment process.\nMonitor shipping vendor performance and ensure the organization is utilizing the most effective and cost-efficient shipping methods.\nIdentify opportunities to reduce shipping costs while maintaining service standards.\nEnsure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.\nImplement technology and digital tools that improve fulfillment efficiency and inventory visibility.\nLeadership & Team Development\nSupervise, coach, and develop the shipping and inventory team to achieve operational KPIs and productivity goals.\nTrain team members on fulfillment procedures, packaging standards, inventory management, and system usage.\nCreate a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.\nMonitor team performance and provide coaching to improve productivity and accuracy.\nSupport cross-training to ensure flexibility across shipping and inventory functions.\nMission Impact & Asset Stewardship\nEnsure donated goods are handled with care and processed in a way that maximizes value for Goodwill’s mission.\nSupport the ecommerce department in driving revenue and profitability through efficient operations and asset protection.\nAct as a strong steward of donated goods, company systems, and operational resources.\nQualifications\nRequired Experience \n2+ years of experience in warehouse operations, fulfillment, inventory management, or ecommerce logistics. \nExperience supervising or leading a team in a fulfillment or warehouse environment. \nExperience with inventory management systems and order fulfillment platforms. \nExperience working in high-volume ecommerce, retail logistics, or distribution operations preferred. \nExperience in resale, thrift, or secondhand retail operations is a plus. \nSkills & Competencies \nStrong leadership and team management abilities. \nExcellent organizational and operational management skills. \nStrong attention to detail and
