To that end, we believe Goodwill’s strength lies in the diversity of those we employ, educate, and serve.\nCompetitive weekly pay\nComprehensive benefits including health, dental, and retirement plans\nGenerous paid time off (PTO) and holidays\nAssociate shopping discount\nCelebratory activities \nCareer advancement opportunities\nFree training and development programs\nYour Typical Day\nSafely operate a company truck or van to deliver and pick up merchandise from Goodwill locations and partner sites\n\nLoad and unload trucks, containers, and trailers using equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, lift gates, or forklifts\n\nPerform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical or safety concerns immediately\n\nMaintain required documentation including vehicle logs, inspection reports, and load details\n\nCommunicate with site staff, warehouse leads, and the Transportation Manager regarding arrivals, departures, and route updates\n\nProvide advance notice to sites when en route and complete required documentation upon arrival and departure\n\nSecure, pad, and stack items properly to prevent damage during transport\n\nReport delays, accidents, or traffic issues promptly to the supervisor\n\nUse professional, courteous, and respectful communication when interacting with staff and the public\n\nFollow all Goodwill policies, safety procedures, and required use of safety equipment\n\nSupport retail and organizational operations by completing related duties as assigned\n\nWhat You’ll Need\nHigh school diploma or GED preferred\n\nMinimum of 6 to 12 months of commercial truck driving experience or related experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the role\n\nValid Class C driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to Goodwill’s insurance standards\n\nAbility to pass DOT drug screening and DOT physical\n\nAbility to read and understand operating and safety instructions\n\nAbility to lift, push, and pull at least 60 lbs consistently and up to 100 lbs periodically\n\nAbility to use a dolly, pallet jack, lift gate, and forklift\n\nForklift certification or willingness to obtain certification through Goodwill-provided training\n\nFlexible schedule with availability to work evenings and weekends as needed\n\nAbility to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions with moderate to loud noise and dust exposure\n\nPhysical ability to stand or sit for extended periods and frequently bend, kneel, reach, stoop, squat, and push\n\nJoin us in our commitment to sustainability and making a positive contribution to our community.
