This is a highly visible position that demands strong leadership skills to prioritise, plan, and oversee diverse activities. In this role, you will contribute to shaping the billing and collection strategy, ensuring alignment with the Firm’s objectives. Adaptations are made based on market dynamics, operational shifts, and future growth, maintaining high service standards. Effective business partnering with practice units, partners, and global operations teams is essential.\nWhat You Will Do:\nPerformance Metrics Oversight: Review and monitor key performance metrics for the billing and collection organisation.\nInvoicing Excellence: Establish and maintain protocols and procedures to ensure timely, complete, consistent, and accurate client invoicing, adhering to all necessary guidelines.\nRevenue Optimisation: Track and minimise revenue loss resulting from ineffective billing or collection processes. Effectively manage and communicate fee arrangements, including busted deal discounts, fixed, tiered, and capped fees.\nProactive Solutions: Seek process and technology enhancements to boost productivity and improve departmental services.\nFinancial Policy Adherence: Ensure continuous compliance with the Firm’s financial policies.\nCollaboration and Communication: Proactively engage with senior leadership and attorneys to ensure billing services meet and exceed expectations.\nStrategic Direction: Collaborate with the global Billing & Collections leadership team to establish short and long-term projects, shaping the strategic direction of the department and broader finance function.
