Also provides support to audit processes.\nWhy This Role Matters\nEnsures payroll accounting accuracy and financial integrity by supporting timely payroll funding, payroll tax payments, and gross-to-net accounting in accordance with GAAP.\nStrengthens financial reporting and controls through payroll journal entries, post-payroll and month-end reconciliations, and support for management control design and testing.\nHelps mitigate payroll tax and accounting risks by researching tax issues, processing tax notices, and determining appropriate accounting treatments.\nDrives continuous improvement by analyzing and implementing process and technology changes that support greater standardization and optimization.\nWhat You Will Do\nProcess and manage payroll funding requests to support accurate and timely payroll payments.\nHandle federal and state payroll tax notices, researching issues and determining appropriate tax treatments.\nResearch, document, and post payroll-related journal entries to the general ledger.\nPerform post-payroll and month-end reconciliations to help ensure payroll accounting accuracy.\nSupport financial reporting and the design and testing of management controls related to payroll accounting.\nIdentify and implement process and technology improvements that promote continuous improvement, standardization, and optimization.\nProvides support to audit and SOX control processes.\nWhat We Are Looking For\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or another business-related field.\n2+ years of experience in Accounting, Auditing, and/or Financial Analysis.\nWhat Sets You Apart\nExperience within a large corporate or manufacturing organization or public accounting firm is preferred.\nMaster’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or another business field and/or CPA certification are preferred qualifications.\nExperience in Payroll Accounting\nAdditional Details\nRelocation Available: No\nSponsorship Available: No\nTypical Schedule: Hybrid, 2 days a week in office.\nTravel Requirement: No\nAdvance English Proficiency\nGoodyear is one of the world's largest tire companies.
