This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.US: $132000 - $189000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits\nLearn more about benefits at Google.\nResponsibilities\nEngage in cross-functional team engagement defining overall product architecture to discuss and achieve the best possible balance of design goals (cost, performance, etc.) for each product.\nCo-develop antenna architecture with RF, mechanical, industrial design and PCB layout engineers.\nDesign and integrate antennas for compact consumer electronics with high performance and manufacturability.\nCreate and drive OTA factory test plans/stations for mass production. Test antenna and wireless over-the-air (OTA) performance.\nProduce and clearly communicate all OTA performance and progress information to relevant audiences, from engineers and PMs to executives.\nQualifications\nMinimum qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\n2 years of experience designing antenna system solutions for Consumer Electronics (especially mobile phones and wearable devices), or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.\n\nExperience with Electromagnetic Simulation tools (e.g., CST, XFDTD, HFSS) or circuit simulation experience using ADS.\nExperience with board design, board bring-up, and desense mitigation.\nExperience using different wireless communication systems such as GSM/UMTS/CDMA/LTE/FR1/FR2, 802.11, Bluetooth, and GPS.\nExperience with factory processes and manufacturing.\nPreferred qualifications:\nMaster's degree or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.\nExperience using RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, protocol/signaling testers) and antenna chambers.\nExperience with new technologies in the domain of RF, electromagnetics and wireless communication.\nExperience and knowledge of antennas used in wireless consumer products.\nFamiliarity with regulatory requirements (FCC, IC, CE, etc.) and their respective certification process.
