Assembly Center Manager, Cloud Customer Logistics

In this role, you will be the leader of how Google optimizes logistics processes while incorporating current industry standards and best practices. You will be responsible for process improvement recommendations, change management, standardization of user documentation, creating processes that drive action and interacting with all partner teams. You will lead new project initiatives for the Americas server operations logistics with a duration of three months to two years, create Business Requirements Documents (BRD), work with key stakeholders, drive innovation, understand operational impacts and create presentations/documents for the leadership team.Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. Responsibilities

• Manage daily logistics operations/assembly of racks, material flow, and third-party logistics warehouse/data center vendors, including overseeing budgets, invoices, and capital improvements.
• Monitor service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and vendor scorecards to ensure business continuity and build business cases for process and logistics improvements.
• Design and execute comprehensive forward and reverse logistics strategies aligned with the organization's long-term business goals.
• Drive technology-driven automation, reduce mean time to repair (MTTR), optimize capacity, and eliminate obstacles in material flow to lower operational costs.
• Partner with internal Google teams, carriers, and external vendors to align priorities, reduce delivery cycle times, and scale operations efficiently.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience analyzing data and generating business insights.
• 7 years of experience developing operational process solutions, and working with cross-functional teams to drive these changes.
• 5 years of experience in vendor management, global operations management or program management within service delivery environments.

Preferred qualifications:

• MBA or Master's degree in a related field or CSCMP certification.
• 7 years of experience building relationships with stakeholders or clients.
• Experience in trust and safety, content moderation, risk management, or high-volume customer support operations.
• Experience managing large-scale, dynamic, and geographically dispersed operational programs with engaging priorities.
• Experience in capacity planning, operational expenditure budget management, and vendor contract performance governance.
• Knowledge of SQL, analytics and Operations Six Sigma certification or other relevant operations coursework.
