As a Hardware Operations Manager, you will manage a team of Data Center Technicians. You will oversee the quality installation of server hardware and components and take charge of complicated installations/troubleshooting.\nIn this role, you will manage a technical team and oversee data centers and facility operations to meet organizational goals and Service Level Objectives (SLOs). Key responsibilities include hiring, coaching, and developing staff, setting team priorities, and partnering with stakeholders to implement short- and long-term strategies. You will execute security and operational procedures, analyze trends for improvement, and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and infrastructure.\nBehind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.\nIndividual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.US: $164000 - $237000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits\nLearn more about benefits at Google.\nResponsibilities\nOversee the day-to-day management of teams within data center operations.\nCommunicate priorities and facilitate hand off of operations to following shift leads.\nWork together to identify and resolve problems and create solutions for our global computing and network architecture.\nHire, coach, and develop a team while achieving business goals.\nEnsure data center-related priorities are consistent with company objectives. Implement and drive the safety culture at the site, while fostering a collaborative team environment.\nQualifications\nMinimum qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.\n10 years of experience managing technical teams in charge of installing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, or maintaining hardware servers and its components.\nExperience in site-level data center operational leadership.\nExperience in a people management, supervision, or team leadership role.\nExperience with different operating systems (e.g., Linux).
